89 Model

Hi,
The very first z32 off the production line had a VIN of 500001 in mid 1989. I don't know why yours drops the 5 and replaces it with a zero. The last 89 model had a vin of 502521, so that means a total of 2521 were produced during 89. That means mine was the 15th z32 produced from the factory. Thanks.

Then why am I 508385, if I'm a December 89 Model?

 

Only have 191'000km on mine and am doing the 200k serivce soon

I remember when I was looking to buy a zedabout 4 years ago, I test drove a plain white aus-spec which had 205'000km on the clock at the time, so if that is still around it would be up there.

RedZedMikey had/has an NA zed with high k's too.

Is Yours a 2+2?

If it's a 2+2 the number sequence is different to the 2 seaters according to the VIN cross reference chart on this forum.

mine is definitely not the oldest or newest, but i am unsure of the year model, because it is a jap-spec that has recently been imported, the vin is 503151, what would roughly be the year of manufacture.

By the number I am guessing it's a 2 or 2+2 TT. If it's a 2 seater it will be Mar1990. If it's a 2+2 it will be Sep 1989. I hope this helps.

Hi,

I now have access to my other information and from the number you have given me your car is a Dec89 2+2 TT. Each series of car, 2 seat, 2+2, N/A and TT have their own series of numbers and by knowing which variant of Zed we are talking about and the VIN number you can find what month and year it was manufactured. Hi,
I now have access to my information. From the number you have I am guessing yours is a 2 seater or 2+2 N/A made in Jul 89. N/A numbers ran from 000001, both variants and the TT numbers ran from 500001, both variants. Mine was the 15th TT 2 seater off the line and yours was the 64th N/A of whichever variant you have. Both cars came off the line in Jul 89. I have a full list of numbers with the month and year every Zed came off the line up until Oct 98. I hope this helps.
