yeah c'mon, i'm from that area! Would suit me well. Not really that many cameras. On the island itself there can be at times, but the highways aren't that bad. Also some nice roads at wilsons prom. if anybody wants to head that far along...
You and I are on the same wave length Melboure to Ballarat via the Western HWY. then...... Creswick - Daylesford - MtFranklin( pic opp) - Twisties to Castlemaine - Maldon ( vintage township with awsome pic opps) - Bendigo - then ...... ???? Posiable run home via Lake Eppalock (McIvor Hwy) - Heathcote - Kilmore - then onto the Hume back to Melb. Or..... Take the Calder back to Melb. We've done the SouthWest...... lets do the NorthWest Area ANZAC w/end looks good Perhaps a run up to MtBulla before Winter sets in might be a posiability too....... that would cover the NorthEast area. Some good roads down to Wilsons Promontory National Park too..... SouthEast done !!!!!
re future cruises i agree with wykked even though the cruise is great and the cars we drive draw us together allow time to socialize to me thats what its all about to sit in a car for kms like we are in a cocoon just to be in a convoy looks good but does not achieve much to me to mix with young and older members enriches everyone though some may no agree so where ever we go i will support it just keep in mind were i am coming from a group is only as strong as the people in it this will insure a long term member participation for future events then it becomes the people not just the car this maybe to deep for some but then again i am an older guy so i can reflect on experience for what its worth holy crap were is this guy coming from.? regards bigmax. :zlove:
I see where your coming from, and agree. I know my car, as I see it everyday. I don't see all the members from the forum everyday, maybe I could organize for a pub that we could consume for an hour or two (cause I know most of us will talk forever ) on the day of the cruise. Or shoot any ideas of what people would like to do as an event on the day. BigCol suggested visting Lake Wendouree, lunch would probably be a good thing to have there, as it will probably be around that time by the time we get there. (And also to BigCol, I can't PM you anymore, your PM's are full )

Ive been on a few drives up to Marysville and there is nice scenery as well as quite a few twisties... The Idea of a country cruise is good as well, something a little different

Well..I don't know what the plan is for this event? But I've had a couple of people contact me wanting to go halves in organising a cruise..BADZX and GOTBLZ.. Anyways Kingy was suggesting from Ballarat we go around Lake Wendorie (lunch), then to Creswick, Daylesford, Mt Franklin (for more photos), up to Castlemaine, Maldon (more photos), Marong and then Bendigo...and then head off back to Melb via Lake Eppalock way (another good spot for photos) ...but I think we should skip Marong and head straight back to Bendigo..anyways let me know who wants to go halves in the cruise? Or we could go thirds? lol

I was tempted to go along the Great Alpine Rd near bright. There are some awesome roads there, as we'd also need to go through the Black Spur to get there, and maybe visit mt Buffalo? Its not the closest of drives, but I think a lot of the roads up there are very nice and we can break up the 'boring' first stint with a good long lunch and get to enjoy the drive on the good roads with a full tummy! As its not holiday season we shouldnt have too much traffic up there, but I was thinking of going up on a saturday? So we can leave the sunday to recover from such a big drive? Just my two cents...
