my mechanic took a bit more than 5 hrs to fit mine and he said it was a prick of a job , im just glad we had agreed on a fixed price by the way im very happy with them, you wont be disapointed. .
really cbf dicking around with them. atleast i know these will bolt straight on and that they wont crack in 12 months. ill probs install myself too
well now i have ebay headers and TTZ headers sitting on my bedroom floor i also have confirmation that my ebay ones WILL infact fit without any sort of modifications as they were from japan and made for jap spec 300.... the ebays are also fully stainless steel (pipes and flanges) the only differences i can see is that 1- ebay ones were a LOT cheaper. 2- ebay ones have the EGR bung. 3- ebay ones have been ported buy the seller 4- the pipe for cylinders 3&4 on ebay ones is longer (dunno what effect this will have).... 5- ebay ones are chrome (cop magnet as im P plater) not meaning to slag on either one. these are just the facts. any advice as to which would be better would be great. also what effect does not having the EGR have for the N/A 300 as i know its crucial for the TT
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...STRK:MEWN:IT&viewitem=&item=370080103379&rd=1 thats link for ebay ones. i dont have a camera accessible atm either. the TTZ are smaller because the ebays have the longer 3rd n 4th runners. both fit...
Interested to see how long they last. 304SS isn't exactly ideal or headers, doesn't like the heat and cracks easily.
Just had these installed Noticeable difference with sound, torque and power, havent put it on the dyno and probably wont, seems to just breathe life into it since putting the Apexi air filter on the car noticed it almost straight away and same with these, the car also had Redback cats and Supercat mufflers on it so so breathes better than stock anyways but all good I think it was well worth it.
just installed headers last night. went with TTZ after doing stacks of reading. deleted the EGR also as it cannot be used with TTZ headers. took so bloody long. removing AIV and EGR solenoids made huge difference on drivers side also. we jacked up the car using 2 forklifts as a hoist i could notice the difference the headers made but it wasnt as much as most others described. i found underdrive pulley made a much bigger difference in power for me. any ideas why this would be?
how you go with deleting the EGR?? you do it from under the car or what this is the only thing keeping me back from gettin the headers, as i dont want to screw somethin up with the EGR
people ask questions on here cause they dont know what to do/or how to do something.....? why flame!? there is no need and "zedboy" lobster and i didnt all that to his car by reading the tech section, its very very helpful
flame ,i was giving him the answer to his question which is leave it,theres no point in deleting it If i was going to flame,i would have said "do a search my friend, this has been covered on here 1 million times and every answer to every question you have is on the appropriate threads " wouldnt i ?? :bash:
so u just weld a bung in the egr? then the headers are easy to put in? what happens if you dont put a bung in the egr? noob questions i know
