I have RDA's and they where marked left and right Geoff and they are with the slots pointing forward just like the pictures
Have a look at mine Graham, you know where it is. I think the L/R indicators are still on em. Sorry I don?t have rda like I said, I have dba4000 series rotors, but that shouldn't matter, it?s all the same thing. The point is, if the slots are pointing forward you get brake bust build up around the hat, also the heated gas is flung inward, heating the hub and hat. To my of thinking all dust and heat should be, moved away from the centre of the rotor, The rotors I have are called wiper slot, apparently the slot moves water out and away from the centre of the rotor. Ps/ i need a full report on Luke's progress, if any! I've been to busy to go down myself! read SLACK!
When i look at mine the slots are towards the back... It does not matter what brand rotor it is they have them all marked as L or R... RDA's are marked as SL and SR... Aww DBA hope you got steel ones and not cast ones... You want to know something funny DBA say that having the slots all the way to the edge is bad for the rotor.. pretty much saying that the RDA slotted rotors are crap... But the funny thing is look at the new DBA rotors they got slots but then they also got another set of slots that go to the edge... So go figure... I rather RDA over DBA anyday...
Rda Dba Same dog different leg. And yer the bigger slot dose not reach the outside of the dba's, but it has the little slot right on the outside edge, faceing the opposite direction to the bigger slot, not sure what that's for!
Difference between DBA and RDA... DBA have both steel and cast rotors where RDA are all steel... No matter if its ventened or non ventened... You will also noticed the different weight between both RDA and DBA rotors... RDA is heavy why because its steel I just sold a set of front slotted rotors for a vl turbo both rotors together come in at 45kg.. Guy was like theses are heavy i go yep heheh his happy with them and got them at a good price Who bloody knows... but all i can say is DBA reps have no idea... They bag RDA all the time... The slots are just to help get rid of the brake dust better... normal DBA rotors are protex rotors just boxed in DBA boxes...
I would think they are wrong, since all the dust that collects from the pads will be moving towards the center of the hub...instead of moving out. Well, thats my theory...and plus i have never seen one car with the slots going inwards so...i dunno
some of the thread people do ! Seem alot of the people on this thread have them the same as mine.Ive put it to zed4life and we will see if he has anything to add
I think it depends on the type of rotor.. and the design of the slots... They are on the right way... I just went out and checked mine...
well thats a few of us mine are rda's,so we have got them on right. You watch we are about to be pounced on by others who say this is wrong so this is the right way as my picture, all those in favour ?????? <<<front of my car
i have RDAs on the front .. bought and installed via a ... QLD RDA/DBA group buy and tech group install day ... they are fitted the same as in hot300'spics .. go figure .....
That sure is the right way dude... I only got slotted on the front not rear but its the same way as you have them...
he has a condition .... hes in a "hightened state of awareness",this is what happens when u mix red and white wine together, isnt baz lol
What? Two references to BB and his drinking, and not one call for a public apology from Trav or topher! Amazing (or evidence of discriminatory bitching?):zlove:
all appologied out i appologised once, thats it for this lifetime lol, anyway chili, how have you got your rotors on ???
