Sorry to have to post this here but I am tearing my hair out.... I purchased a pair of port and polished heads for my Z off a person on EBay. His name is Matt Dillon. His feedback was 100% and I felt confident in a smooth transaction. This was 6 weeks ago.... Money changed hands the day after the item was won by me and since then, I have received a total of 3 emails. I've opened up a dispute with EBay which will only end in a small portion of funds being reimbursed. I managed to get his phone number, and I have spoken to him on Sunday. He assured me that there was a 'problem with the courier company' and that he would send them out on Monday and call me when they have been sent.... Surprise, surprise.... No phone call! I've started to call him daily and he is conveniently 'out'... Apparently his mum doesn't have his mobile phone number either... Anyway, If anyone knows a zedder named Matt Dillon, could you please let me know? Cheers, Tom
Location as per ebay, also have you tried white pages searching for his name, getting his address and organising a little search and rescue mission
Thats a real shame Tom I saw those on ebay and pondered for a moment. Delays can occur but it was a while ago so you probably have every right to be concerned, how much cash we talking Tom. What state was the seller in. Someone from the state in question may know something about the items or seller. Ebay is a risky place this time of year lots of fraudsters. I hope it all gets resolved quickly for you
mate majorly sucks ... if you still have no luck put his phone number into the grey pages (http://greypages.mazzanet.id.au) This will give you his address and get some of the other local zedders from that state 2 go and knock on his door and demand the heads or the money back.. im sure that will put him in his place. 5 zedders rocking up 2 his place on behalf of you mate if that doesnt work u can go with the "OLD SCHOOL METHOD"
hey tom, him matt dillon, isnt he an actor? depends on the dispute in which u opened with ebay toothey charge ya 25 bucks process fee for the dispute investigation - and some u dont get ya money back. that via bank deposit transfers, paypal on the other hand is a different story
i tried grey pages without much luck.... His name definately is matt because i spoke to him the other day... well i ask to speak to matt and that's who i got... ??? I did send the money through a direct deposit... I managed to get the heads for a sweet price (around the $700 mark) so i think he might be pissed off that they went so cheap... so he's kinda reluctant to do anything about them... I'll try to find out what state he is in and go from there... i'm hoping not to revert to rock up at his door (scare tactics), i'd rather a peacful and happy solution... if push comes to shove though, i might see if there is a cruise going past his house
Mate, PM me his full name and his location...even the phone number he provided and I will see what I can do tomorrow when in the office.
you can get it from ebay theres a button on ebay you can use to request his full registration details ,here you go To request a member’s contact information: Click the “Advanced Search” link, located under the Search button in the top right corner of most eBay pages. Under the Members section on the left side of the page, click the “Find Contact Information” link and provide the User ID of the member and the Item number of the transaction you have in common
Lol, can just see everyone who's works at the main roads dept. etc. looking up his details. Gotta love government jobs haha.
where is the guy? melbourne, Sydney where?? I would go and get em for you if he is in Melbourne. Let me know
It's surprising how much info is "databased" somewhere or other. I used (years ago) to work for a call centre and if you have the right software you can search for someone's details using pretty much anything, ie you can type in a number and come back with the name and address it's registered to. And that was only the budget version...
If you have his bank details there is 2 options. 1. you can back search the BSB to find the town/suburb that he lives in. This narrows it down quite a bit. You have his last name then you can reference that with the phone number to find the address. 2. go to the local court house and final a writ (I think thats what its called) small fee which gets added to the amount thats owed. then after 21 days he can dispute it in court, if not then some more paper work & small fee gets added to the total again. then there is 2 option, 1. the sherrif goes arround and reposes some stuff or 2. you have his bank details, they take the cash straight from his account + the fees that have been incured. I personaly have done option 2 and you dont need a lawyer. easy peasy.. and got my cash and the fees back.. took a while but i got it back..
Unlucky That?s unlucky mate, I saw those heads on eBay and emailed the guy and asked him a few questions about flow figures etc, and got a bad vibe from him when he replied, if I recall correctly I think he said he had paperwork to prove the figures but that he had "misplaced" it somewhere in his garage. Yeah some things on eBay are dodgy as!!! I find it hard though not to trust people, but I guess that?s the way you have to be nowadays.
matt dillon = wild west gunslinger... strange, indeed... .. some good suggestions offered .. good luck in your follow up ...
