    Slow progress

Pic showing difference in size of a AMS manifold to a stock one.

Fitted the crank today, pic of bearing clearances being checked using flexigauge strip, witness marks can be seen on the main bearings.
Pic of misalignment bearing holes as pointed out in the UAS thread, engine bearings, has been like that for about 2 1/2 years without a problem.

    More progress

Bottom end all finished, was going to do the heads myself, but was recommended a guy that specalizes in them quite cheap, so will save myself some work.
Pick up a new set of commetic gaskets off UAS,get the heads on and then fit up the turbos.:)

    Was 8.5 when

When i first had the heads done ported, bigger valves fitted, cc'd, shaved, etc,
only took a few thou off this time just to clean them up, so wouldn't think it would go up to much Rob

Looking good Ron....been checking everyday waiting for your updates haha.

I have decided that I'll will give my TT motor a bottom end freshen up as well...just OEM rings and bearings, and also get the heads done with new OEM valves and valve stem seals.

I will pick your brains with a few questions when I see you.:zlove:

why all that grinding to fit???

  17. Wizard

    Wizard Kerb side Prophet

    Wont fit otherwise

Actuator and arm are on that side of the turbo on the drivers side and has to be cleared so it fits,
won't be back working on it till tuesday will take some pics of it with the turbo in situ.

    Pretty much ready

To drop in, had a day off today so spent all day on the engine, got most things done.
Found one of my dumps with a hole under the heat bandage so will have to weld that up, couple of little things to tidy up then should be ready to drop in.
