Mine is, The dreaded 2nd windshiled wiper swipe when you turn it off, :angry: it's almost like it's showing you that it's boss, and it doesn't have to stop when you tell it to

 

If you watch the wipers in action, at their lowest position

they are about 2-3cm above the bottom of the screen. That last sweep (after you switch them off) takes right down into their "park" position. I reckon what you are describing is normal.

 

where do I begin??

actually thats a bit harsh.... my zed has been behaving quite nicely since i fixed the pinging problems so at the moment I cant fault it....

although, only a minor annoyance, but my driver's side mirror has started screeching when ever I fold them mirrors in or out. I opened them up last year to replace the gears and motor and everything has been working fine.... now for some reason, the drivers side one screech's and is noticeably slower in movement compared to the passenger side one.... ahh well, think I'll just wait till it dies completely and open it up. Or maybe i'll open it up at the upcoming tech day...

aside from that, the zed is currently running great (touch wood).

That final sweep is the "Parking" sweep for the wipers, and is normal.:thumbsup::zlove:

 

Climate Control 'recirc' timer

Seems like every time I get behind a smoke-belching truck my CC switches to outside air... yes, I know it's normal after 15 mins, but a PITA, nonetheless.

 

My rear hatch...

it rattles when I go over a harsh bump. It never used to, & I have set the latch to it's lowest position! Very annoying.
Also, my turbo-timer play's up from time to time.
Hmm, what else?

 

Love a good whinge

1. My Zed's engine makes this gentle drum-beating sound during idle. Like a low, soft, gentle tapping sound of a drum.

2. The squeaks coming from the bonnet/door/boot hinges and the hook that hold 'em down when closed. Have to keep oiling the buggers every fortnight.

3. 20L/100km city cycle fuel consumption - for a stockie.

My rear hatch....

Doesn't 'pop' open when you pull the release inside the car, have to try and pull it a few times and hope for the best... Even with the key you have to hold the key turned and then lift the hatch at the same time...

busted hatch gas struts or your wing is too heavy so upgrade the struts.

 

try replacing the rubber bump stops on the hatch underside

 

rattling windows (looks like a fair effort to fix) and the turning circle!

 

Thanks ! Standard wing so must be struts, isn't there a big piece of metal

or something in the hatch anyway, can I just take that out instead of replacing the struts ? Loose a bit of weight that way as well...

My air con+heater fan keeps blowing fuses

Fan goes for about 10mins then nothing a part from that car is going really well touch wood

there's a chunk of rubber vulcanised to a metal bracket that can be removed

you need to pull the plastic trim bit in the center of the rear hatch lid.

 

my bonnet...

doesnt always release, have to lift it from the front after releasing and sometimes it will pop up. embarassing when you're tryin to show off ur engine to people :LOL:

was winding window down one day.... BANG, now it rattles

auto trans gear selector light works when u tap it

creaking front brakes!

She's pretty smooth otherwise.

 

My rear tyres keep on wearing out Had same prob with my bonnet FIX--->>

-Pop the bonnet
-Loosen the 2 12? or 14mm bolts on each side of the latch
-Pull latch down
-Tighten the 2 bolts
-PROBLEM SOLVED
