    Looks good Stu...

Just one thing you reckon the wire going from the power steering you think you could extend it.. Reason why i ask is so you can show off the hi cas all done without a bloody wire in the way and run it down and under the hi cas... Just a thought...

    Looks unreal...

    Awesome job there...

Looks like you really took your time with it all to do it right.

I like the idea of painting under the plenum as well as the cam wheels.

Should be unreal once it's all done.

I was thinking about what to do with the HICAS Solenoid as well...it's so ugly...didn't think that painting it would turn out so well...now I know what to do... :)

Keep up the good work...looks better than when it came out of the factory...

    Cheers
    Rob.

    Was your Z originally black?

Looks great, like how you've hidden the wiring. I have a heavy duty plug on my det sensor, works well. I can take a pic of it to show you what it looks like if you'd like?

    Fuel Lines etc

I spent the day putting my fuel lines with gauge and newly rerouted PCV hoses in. I also got some bends made up for the Pod filter mounting.

PCV hoses tucked in nicely, Chromed Fuel Dampner and Regulator

You may notice that the front of the engine is off again. I had to retension the timing belt as the auto tensioner had fully closed on me . Grrr Also I got a 100k service kit for the other zed last week and it had Blue Silicon Water Bypass Hoses. I had to use them on this car instead of the Black ones that i had :biggrin::biggrin:

Stu it's got me intrigued what you did with the wiring harness. I can see the connectors on the injectors and coil pack but the harness is no where to be seen:confused:

Green lines are injectors and coilpacks, red line is temp sensors, yellow line is ptu. Its all under the plenum

    UGH

I promised myself that I wouldnt do the cry for help till I had tried every conceivable thing to fix it but my car will not produce spark... :bash:

As you know I stripped back the loom, replaced all plugs and wired in a Series 2 PTU, also have brand new Splitfires.

I have tested continuity of all the CP connectors Pin 1 connects to the corresponding pin on the PTU. Pin 2 perm 12v to the Relay. Pin 3 Ground.

The other side of the PTU shows continuity to the relevant pins on the ECU and shows voltage when cranking (an oscilloscope would be handy)

Plenum is grounded, Heads/Block is grounded.

Have stuffed a wire in the coilpack to try and get a spark but nothing. I changed ECU's to no avail.

    Im out of ideas.. HEPL!

Maybe make sure you have pin 1 and pin 3 the right way around on the coil packs. If you are as silly as me and did this, then left the ignition switched on for a few minutes, you too could have a set of fried coils :p mmm, fried

    Have you

checked your fuel pressure stu, if you have no spark your plugs will be wet, pull a couple off plugs and inspect them.
I had a similar problem but only on number 1. Try as I might, I couldn't produce spark on that cylinder, so I pulled the plug from number 2 which was firing, couldn't get a spark there either. Graham had the same problem as myself, and he could not get a spark on number 1.I think he ended up calling in an auto electrician, there is a detailed post from graham on the subject, and what he found out, it could help.

At the moment I cant even get a spark out of the Coil Pack so ive been ruling out Fuel problems at the moment. Stuffed a wire in the Coil Pack trying to produce a spark to the plenum but no go.

    Thats what I

mean, I stuffed a store brought high tension leed into a coil pack I new was firing, and grounded it to the plenum. I know the plenum was grounded because I tested from the positive side off that coilpack connector to the plenum with a mulitmeter and saw 12.4v, and still didn't see a spark. My problem was no fuel to number 1, leaking injector, which has now turned into an engine rebuild:eek:
