Long over due Ive decided to dig in and get alot of the stuff thats been massing in my room actually installed. This is the 1st time ive gone so far as to take the Plenum off so its a brave step for me :)

On the cards, full AIV delete, PRVR Delete, EGR delete, relocate HKS boost solenoid, Sard 650cc Injectors, UDP , Full Vac hose replacement, Under Plenum Bypass, Lots of shiny Bits (Throttle Bodies, Plenum, Fuel Lines + Filter) General Tidy up. Also need to give my alternator a thorough degreasing because of the leaky PS pipes, they have all come out as well. Full tidy up of electrics, re wrap loom, new injector plugs and coil pack plugs. Powder Coat Rocker Covers, relocate PCV pipes to top ala JT (mainly cos i trashed all the pipes and dont wanna put all the crap back on the back of the plenum)

Oh I wish for a Shed or Garage, its freaking hot in direct sun.

Thanks Zanjara for lending a hand its made things go alot faster.

dont forget you probably wont be able to start the car if you install the 650cc injectors without an ECU remap

    End of Day 2.

all the crap is out including AIV,PRVR, EGR, all done with engine in. Having the right tools and a bit of patience works wonders. My hands will be hating me tomorrow though. There is so much space in the engine bay now, well worth the trouble.

Stu, don't forget when you remove the AIV's, if you don't use an AIV delete binary it will actually run a little richer as the ECU still wants to compensate for the extra air that is no longer available.

If you need an AIV delete base code PM me.

Bloody task and a half i tell ya lol maybe we should do mine next Stu lol :p :D

Its well worth it like Stu said the right tools and the patience is a good thing... Never done one before so its learning stage for the both of us but thats a good thing... A lot of things left to do in regards to parts getting powder coated etc I am sure once its all back together it will look good :)

Damn hot in that sun was hotter today then yesterday i reckon...

One thing does anyone know what size is used to block off the factory pick up for the pcv? and people who have relocated the pick up did you take the baffle out of all of the rocker covers?

I think i was more stuffed yesterday Stu then i was today hehe :p :D

nah the pcv where the factory pick up is on the passenger side exhaust rocker cover...

been reading this tech as one of them does not show anything at all and the other one had a flick though it all but yeah...

Been trying to work out what thread to use for it... I will find out during sometime what i can use to block it off with... I am just guessing here but the hose from the passenger side pcv valve goes to the drivers side intake rocker cover and the drivers side goes to the passenger side intake rocker cover...

    Hyper's Plenum Pull

    Hi there Hyper,

Great job so far mate! Keep it up and youll have a beast. I found the car ran much better after doing the plenum pull and tidy up. It really needed it too, discovered some dodgy hose repairs and finally got rid of that annoying EGR.

Top stuff - you doing the timing belt as well?

    Cheers, Kaz.

Consider carefully the PCV relocation. I'm sure this will raise a few shackles, but Im of the opinion that most of them have been done incorrectly. I get home 2morrow night and will be able to give a full explaination if required:)

Well we are looking at doing it like JT had done it to his zed... relocate the pickup into the top of the intake rocker covers and go from there... Any more info would be great to us but yeah it looks like it has been pooling on the left side for ages was all black etc but once all fixed up wont pool again hehe :D ;) :zlove:

yeh as Nice one said, make sure you've labelled everything!! if you think you'll remember, you won't!

don't you hate it when you do a job on the zed, and when you finish you have an ice cream container of bolts :D

someone didnt read what i said... I am talking about the pick up in which if you did read my reply you would understand... Its been pooling where the stock pickup on the left exhaust rocker cover so we are going to move it to the top of the intake rocker covers like everyone else has done...
