"low life", "king shit", "bozo" ...... ... your command of the English language is extraordinary, for an imbecile. Get a life.
hello wykked... i would love to come and actually meet u but the car is not running at the moment having major dramas getting some solid lifters are u taking your beast up
I would happily second that... Ak mate, quit starting arguments tell me again how many arguments you have to start to be given a warning by moderators... i think Ak is on his second or third argument thus far. but then again... who am i to judge ? i dunt even drive a TT :zlove: make love, not war.... Peace out Sam
Perhaps you should consider offering your considerable knowledge to JP at UAS, he can't get any more than that out of my car, even at 18psi. I think you're full of it, but if I'm mistaken, then you have a glowing future as a Z32 Mechanic/Tuner. When can you book my car in for a quick tune-up?
don't know what turbos you have on there, but with those internals and all, maybe you could try givin it a little more boost. depends on turbos i supose. any more details? (what is high flowed about them?). not that 270rwkw is any small amount. if you are still looking for more however, maybe you should jump in on the gt28r GB. should land you up to 330rwkw.
They have 270deg thrust bearings and 4mm larger dia. Compressor wheels. 4mm wheels were chosen so as to limit the amount of "lag". This work was suggested, and carried-out , by GarretTurbochargers in Sydney(at a cost of $2000 for both turbo's). The figures shown in my Dyno Sheet (on the forum Dyno List) show the output at 4 different boost settings, the 271.9rwkw figure was gained at 18psi, how much higher would you like it to be for every day street use?
fair enough. 270rwkw is a great amount for street. any higher is of limited use given traction constraints. if you're interested in 400m times, track times, and/or bragging rights (many are when it comes to cars), don't see why you couldn't step it up to say 25psi (small steps getting there naturally).
Re: They have 270deg thrust bearings and 4mm larger dia. Compressor wheels. 270 rwKW is heaps Lloyd. I spose the point that John is making is that you have invested absolutely piles of cash in your engine. Given that this is the case, I would personally be a bit dissapointed that I wasnt getting a bit over 300rwKW at 20 PSI! As to how much you need on the street? Ummm enough to blow a boosted turbo Falcon or an STI away without raising a sweat. But also the ability to turn down the boost and run it at 12 PSI for the most part. I would say that the majority of the time I will run my new car at around 220RWkw, but hopefully be able to push it to 330RWkw (if I manage to get that much) for drag, strip or a little play.
aK's reply to me was VTD'd before I could even respond--> I was actually going to apologise as I obviously upset him. So aK, sorry if I set you off. Case closed...move on. :zlove:
Chilli dont get upset or take offense - not only i think you should be making more power with those mods *shrug* but if thats how it is then oh well its your car dont put me down for being more optimistic Dont get dissapointed but its just our personal opinion mate And as for John, well from what iv heard and he probably admits is he has spent over $40,000 on the engine alone and he got <350kw (correct me if im wrong). I guess maybe i get dissapointed personally because iv read so many places about supras, gtr's and even silvias which easily make more then that with the same modifications on your car CHILLI. I just wanna see zeds rule
So much anger in this thread.. All your problems could be solved.... if you all just bought an NA and accepted the fact that you would never achieve 350rwkw...:LOL::LOL: Cheers
Yes, we will be up there......>> My wife Jen has never raced down the 1/4 mile so she will be having all the fun on the day and I will be kicking back playing crew cheif.
How many Silvias......>> can you show me that produce over 350kw at the wheels using highflowed stock turbos? and don't forget they have to be autos, or at least you have to factor in the additional drive train loss of the auto over the manual. I'm not talking about cars that you have "heard" about here, but cars that can be verified as having that power.
And how long will they make it for? Chili's setup is for a daily driver that should do more than 200,000km.
Yeah to that..... I have not even begun to modify my car yet, but the forum has been an invaluable source of information - even unruly and occasionally ill tempered threads like this one. However, using Chili's car as a test case, a proven 270rwkw from an engine that is internally strong, well that will do me nicely. It seems I will need up to 20 grand to get there. That's pretty steep, but if I do spend the money and go that far, I will want more than five minutes of fun out of the result, and a car that is tractable and driveable as well. Cheers Barry :zlove:
