My poor Z was attacked last night, when I approached the car to head to work this morning I found my drivers side door and 1/4 glass panels smashed in and my center glove box open. Here are some photos I've taken; Very upsetting to see my Z in this state but what can I do really. Ive rang the police and made a report, rang my insurance company and made a claim and i'm just waiting to see where things go from here. The good news out of this was nothing seems to have been stolen out of the car, my $300 ray bands have been removed from the glove box but not taken so I am lucky there but one of my Altia 1/4 window panels has been smashed and needs to be replaced which is what I am mostly pissed about as I know how hard they are to find. Sad day for me, hopefully I can get the Z fixed soon.
Very sorry to see this Mate. If there is anything you can get from this act of vandalism it's the knowledge that this clown was a total ammatuer. Anyone with a basic level of car theft(and a length of Welding/Brazing Rod)could open a Z in about 30secs(without doing the slightest bit of damage). That fact should see this mongrel getting caught/bashed sometime soon. Replacing your Altia Quarter Panel will be very difficult(but at least you still have your Z). Good luck with the repairs(and hope this arsewipe gets caught when he tries to steal a Police-car, sometime soon).

Man so sad to see Usually they'd only smash and grab if something is on show, so maybe they were after the car itself? Or just that desperate they were chancing it. Why dont these fkwhits get a fkn job?>
Well my car has been egged twice since ive lived with my wife parents place. I do feel like my car is being targeted in a way but not much i can do about it. Im going to try and park it closer to the house or in the driveway from now on hopwfully that will help until i move out into my own place eventually.
Sorry to see mate. I suppose the brighter side of this is that it is only window damage and not panel or cosmetic damage.
Thanks eric i know it could of been worst and and i can look forward to hopefully a better condition drives door glass but it looks like it will be second hand parts to replace what was damaged

thanks for the support guys, I just wish this didn't happen to me and with my car being my daily it makes it worst as I now have no way to get to work on my own. So Justcars have told me that even though I have full comprehensive insurances glass damage is not covered (figures) and I will need to pay my $625 excess to get the windows replaced. I have already looked up prices on new OEM glass from japan and it looks like $700+ just for the drivers window along and the rear 1/4 I know will be $400+ for brand new glass. Currently I am awaiting a call back from Obrien who are looking at pricing for replacement glass whether it be new OEM, used OEM or aftermarket glass. The fact they broke my rear 1/4 for no reason to me feels like a targeted attack on my car but I guess Ill never know. I will try and keep everyone posted on any developments as they come.
Yeah i know mate, all I can do is try and glue the 2 halves back together until I can afford to find and buy a set of replacement panels.

I've a single spare altia 1/4 window shade. Been a few years, so will have to confirm which side and condition when I next fly back to Brisbane
I think random and by someone who doesn't know Zeds. Quarter window smash to access the door lock release, but then he / she realized left arm was too short to reach, so had to smash the drivers door window. But if you think it is a targeted attack, was there anything with your address taken from glovebox, center storage?
Nothing was taken and the only time that was touch were the sunglass which were still in the car when i found the damage. The was a car parked directly across the road (madza 3) which wasnt touched, plus there were also 2 cars parked behind me a house down that were also untouched. According to the owner of the house i was parked infront of said he heard a strange noise like smashed glass at about 11pm last night but didnt think much about it.
Sorry to hear about this. BUT... get over it as soon as you can mate - what I mean is, shit like this has a way of making you think you were targeted / personally etc but that was probably not the case. Happened to me a few times and I have learnt to deal with it and move on. Otherwise, you tend to just tear yourself up over stuff. And besides.. the sooner you do get over it, the sooner I will be able to too.. I always feel bad hearing about other peoples shitty experiences - just like this one. Always check your insurance policy carefully to be absolutely sure of your rights too. Keep smiling Adam.
