Pulling the motor out tomorrow, only thing still attached is the power steering hose and oil pressure sensor.
Whats the best way to pull it out, I have a 2 ton strap I was going to put through the upper plennum or should I remove the plennum and is there somewhere on the side of the block I can bolt the chain up to??

    Thanks Matt

straps on the front runners of the plenum, will allow the engine/box to come out on an angle

This was put on hold again today only thing I still have to do was drop the tailshaft.
What is the correct way of doing this?? Undo the allen key bolts just in front of the diff and then pull the tailshaft out of the rear of the box???

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

you can do it that way, but, i find it quicker to leave the back end bolted into the diff, and just unbolt the centre bearing so the middle of the drive shaft sags, and then unbolt the g/box cross member and lower it down enough to slide the yoke out of the gearbox. quick and easy.

    Motor and Box finally out

I started this morning at 9.30 I only dropped the 2 17mm bolts at the tailshaft and let it sag down as Benny had suggested. Still had the oil lines and powersteering hoses to remove and then the earth cable on the engine and box as it came out.

The most trouble I had when removing the engine and box is that unfortunately I do not have a huge amount of height clearance in the garage, which made it quite difficult to pull the box over the radiator support panel.

Thinking of only removing the motor on the silver zed and the drop in the TT motor and aligning it with my n/a box, but that is also just as tricky.
I might make a steel plate to bolt up to the lower plennum which should make it alot easier instead of playing around with tow straps.

Now just have all the coolant, powersteering oil and gearbox oil to clean up of the floor.:(

28R's, AMS manis and 3" dumps will be on soon:D
