KYB AGX Adjustable Performance shock absorbers, complete set of 2 front and 2 rear for $678.00, these retail for $800+ in Australia.

These shocks have proven to be excellent in our cars

*** KYB shocks , King springs and Eibach springs are ALL purchased here in Australia so there are no warranty issues, all locally supported. This is a big plus!***

    Some info from KYB >>
Built with the advanced engineering and exceptional quality you'd expect from KYB, AGX lets the driver tune their shocks to match driving conditions in seconds.
Fast on car adjustment: No need to fit the vehicle or remove anything to change settings. Damping rate is selected with an external knob on the rear shock body and a screw driver slot at the top of the piston rod on the front shocks.
Adjustable damping allows one shock to meet all conditions: Strip, Cruising, High Speed Touring, Street and Track.
The single damping adjustment on the AGX Shock changes both the rebound and compression strokes. There are four front and eight rear stages of adjustment.
In addition to manually adjustable damping settings, AGX features 3-stage, real-time, auto adjusting damping.
When driving on a smooth surface, shock movements are relatively slow and the AGX valving allows the shock to travel freely. As road conditions get rougher, the shock is compressed faster. AGX responds instantly to make response firmer, maintaining tyre contact and vehicle control.
This 3 stage valve action allows AGX Shocks to adjust to road conditions automatically.

*Sintering iron pistons and guide rods for the greater strength and durability.
*Micro-smooth, hardened and chromed piston rods allow long life reliability from oil seals.
*Seamless cylinders and eye rings mean no weak points or seam failures.
*Multi-lip seals and self-sealing packing keep oil in, contaminates out, even under repeated hard use.
*Patented check valve minimises foaming to eliminate performance fade.

Kings lower springs, $246.00 set of 4, 30mm drop front and rear

If you are wanting a progressive spring I can do Eibach Pro $585.00 for all 4 OR Tanabe GF210 Sustec $480.00 for all 4. There are only 2 sets of Tanabes currently available, I will get more if demand is there.

Freight will be dependent on where you are and I will quote on the best option for each area.

10 sets of shocks need to be ordered for this price, but going by the EOI thread that wont take long!

This GB will run until we reach 10 sets of AGX ordered

What colour are the King Springs?

Hi Caz, this is might be a lame question, but are the king springs red? or do you have the option of getting them in red?

Nope, you can't choose their colour, Kings are Yellow, Tanabe's are Red, Eibach are black.
    Caz.. :)

    Hey Caz,

What's the drop for the Tanabe and Eibach?

From memory I think the Eibach is 20mm (0.8"). Are these the same ones?

    What about the Tanabe's?

    Cheers
    Rob. :)

    Hi Z-Force,
The Tanabes are what myself and XTREME ZX have just fitted, 1.5 front and 1.1 rear drop from stock.
Eibach is .8 you are correct :)

I will get exact measurements on my cars drop, but its a good inch lower then before.

    One more thing Caz...

These figures are based on the Aus-Spec Zed yeah?

Reason being; the J-Spec Zeds (Twin Turbo's) are lower than the Aus-Spec from the factory. Problem is, I don't know how much lower. So if King, Tanabe and Eibach say they lower by this amount, it could well be different on a J-Spec Zed.

    Any thoughts? :)

    Cheers

    other than ride height

will new springs help the handling?

they will make a significant difference in

    handling

your Z will be able to corner much faster and feel like its stuck to the road,
there will be much less chassis role as you corner hard, so heaps more comfortable..

    Springs and Handling...

You won't notice much with lowered springs in regards to handling. Better centre of gravity...but that's about it.

Handling will come from upgrading the shocks...among other things. Especially if you still have the factory shocks on the car. 17 years + 100k odd KM's, you'll notice a huge difference. Especially if they are adjustable as well.

Don't expect anything from just changing the springs other than a more aggressive look. If you want better handling, start by changing the shocks...depending on what you have in the car atm. Depending on what you use the car for will depend on what type of upgrade you'll need. Road or Track use...

    Cheers

I was told my the guy at the Exhaust place that the shocks on my car where the ones Nissan Used on J-Spec 300s.. I can't remember the name..

Anyway, if this is right, I have a feeling my shocks would have been replaced recently with the same parts, just newer because the car still feels quite stiff, and handles quite well, IMO.

Maybe I just don't know what a 300zx with new shocks feels like..

Will the AGX's feel better, than, for example, (and just for reference) a brand new set of stock shockies?

My other question is, When do you want the money, because if I can afford to, I'm definately in for this..

    Heya All,

As Caz mentioned we both installed KYB with the TANABE spring combo... All i can say is HTFO (Hang the F*&^ On) It sticks to the road like flies on shit... I can bank corners so much better and cornering is much easier also. I have played around with the adjusment of both front and back and at present the ride is perfect...

I have seen an increase in at least 15/20km cornering speed in compaison to my old ones. usually i would get some body role and feel the car resisting in the corner which would cause me to back off. Mind you i am NOT breaking the speed limits here.

I strongly recommend for all interested to invest in these puppies.. Bang for buck you cant beat them...

For the record the Tanabe springs are a recommended addon to this.. They are progressive rate and seem to keep the car dead straight whilst banking the corners... it jsut gets better and better...

    Oh no more tramping either...

Thanks caz for all your efforts..

    Tezza

    Hi Raheen,
I couldn't run a GB for imported shocks, shipping, duties, GST and International Warranty problems are all potential nightmares for a business.

Coz's prices are good, even though shipping would be expensive, it is an option. Look carefully at the Warranty on them, quite often a USA manufacturer wont warrant their product outside the USA and even if they do, you have to ship them back to the USA at your own expence.

NEW PRICING.. As mentioned in an earlier post, I was given incorrect pricing on the shocks, no wonder it seemed so good :( .
The real deal is $678.00 for KYB AGX set of 4 adjustable shocks.

These are through my local supplier and carry full Australian Warranty :), they are in stock, here in Australia, so once we have 10 paid buyers I can get them next day.

My sincerest apologies for the incorrect first price, I dont like having to raise the price on a GB

Spring pricing remains the same, no mistakes with those :)

Kings lower springs, $246.00 set of 4, 30mm drop front and rear

Eibach Pro $585.00 (progressive) 5 sets in stock.

Tanabe GF210 Sustec $480.00 (progressive) only 2 sets available.

    Caz.. :)

    Tenative

I'm in subject to having enough $ in the bank. So I will be a possible. The longer this GB runs, the more chance that I will join in.
