    Hey all,

Everyone knows the sad story about Eric...

Well, I was wondering, Say we each as a state ran a 'cruise for a cause' run?

This will be obviously be a cruise to raise money for Eric and his family, and I think $100 per entrant will be an easy selfless act.

Have a talk about it, and lets work something out!

Charge a quarter of that and invite car enthusiasts from all forums. Hard to police though :/

Yeah, well I'm thinking there would have to be a bank acc. Supplied by Eric to deposit into? So money doesn't exchange too many hands and magically disappear -_-

$100is nothing if you think what you would spend on a weekend or on your zed!

i wouldnt make it $100 personally.. $20 for a map or something but encourage people to put in what they can...

$100 can be alot to some and I don't think it should be a minimum..

Cruise for Charity is $30 and change is not given...

I meant its hard to police who comes on the cruise.

I think it's a great idea, but that $100 is a lot to participate.

Might be but think who and what it's for! I see however money gets flung around on a weekend just to piss it up the wall, so maybe put yourselves out just a wee bit?

Of course your a correct though because the idea would be to get the correct price where you get enough people coming along and not scared off... So far it looks like 100 is too much?

what about like vader who isnt employed at the moment? if i was unemployed in this market (which very well could be soon) then I'd put $20 in but couldnt afford 100 so i cant come?

Its a great idea certainly one to add to our list. We are in the process of creating a bank account so keep an eye out for details.

We have many ideas of ways to raise money and contribute but this is one we had not thought of.... please feel free to keep suggesting... the more the merrier!

Sounds like a great idea...but like others have said, $100 can be a lot for some, especially the younger ones that might still be living at home and working a part time job while studying etc...

But I think $30 is decent enough to ask for. Maybe we could make the Goldfields Cruise a Charity Cruise for Eric and his family and somehow have a BBQ organised selling snags at $2 each?

    Oh MickW....what do you think?

Yeah good idea! what do you think Mick? If not seeing as though this was my idea, i will set a new cruise up after yours....

How about we not set a price on entering the run, but more let your heart decide! ;) everyone is in different situations so i think it would work best.

My brother managers a Hotel/pub make in my hometown up north. He does a few charity events such as raffles and auctions....the local businesses donate there stuff and in turn receive advertising.

I'm all for any idea to help Eric out. He's a first class human being and deserving of our help.

First off, how does Eric feel about it? Very proud man, would he be comfortable with us organising things like this?

BBQ idea is doable. Reckon I might know a Forum member in Castlemaine with a BIG shed full of turbo cars where we
could do lunch rather than handing over money at take away food joints. I'll talk to him.

$100 is a pittance compared to the money Eric has saved most of us with the advice he's given out on the Forum.
But $100 is not so easy for some. At the rate our cars guzzle fuel it could be the difference between affording to
go on a cruise or not.

I'd be in for $100 even though I would not be able to attend :(

Quite simple, if Eric has helped you then dontate what you can.
Even if you have not received Eric's help then donate.
Its to help a fellow Zedder who needs our help at the moment.

This is a guy that would still be helping people with mechanical advise at 1:00am in the morning, for no monitory gain.

Maybe the forum administrators can find a local cheap supplier and have a few dozen made to start if there's a demand (& deposits).

I'm a part time employee that studies aswell...i know what it is when families go through hard times in life like this...i will be more than happy to donate $100, just send me bank details & ill forward the money. I dont get much free time, so if i cant make the cruise ill still like to help. Cam i would like to say well done on having the right thought & wanting to help.
