Well the complaints are happening now from what i see John. Have you actually put a set on of the goodridge lines you supply,(that some people are not happy with) and done your own test as to whether they fit properly or not ??? As its a safety issue,i myself would have gone and tested these immediately upon hearing of this,and i would hope you have as well 1/ for my own piece of mind 2/ for the safety of members who have bought them 3/to uphold my companys good name I presume you have,so what is your thoughts on the issue people are raising ??
That part IS fact. They are not direct OEM replacement, so there for have some fitting issues. There has also been 3 incarnations that I have personally seen of the same Goodridge brake lines packaged for Z32. I understand you have some issues with other manufacturers brake lines and that is all well and good to express your opinions of them as long as its kept to opinion and not sweeping broad statements.
I was doing a bit of research last night - the Goodridge lines as pictured on and sold by Z1 and Concept Z appear to have the extra mounting ferrules fitted on the front lines - missing from the set I have. The TTNet tech page on installation doesn't have perfectly clear installation pic, but it looks like the ferrules are on those front lines. Unfortunately neither the Goodridge UK nor USA websites have model specific pictures, but I did note that they had different kit part numbers. Goodridge USA has kit #22073, and Goodridge UK has kit #SNN0700-4 - both specific to 89-96 300ZX. My kit is labelled #TNN0700-4, so presumably it is sourced ex UK; but why the different code??? I think if I bought a brake line and it failed, then I would contact the manufacturer concerned, regardless of the purchase price. having said that, ANY manufacturer of any product will have a percentage of product with some form of defect, as any manufacturing process is not 100% perfect. PM sent
Correction The line I have here is actually Brake Quip which is made the same or very similar to Maltech. I don't have camera at the shop at moment.

I will be heading over with camera (john lost his) monday arvo so yes there will be pics. Also Stu where did you get your lines from? One particular mbr is jumping up and down about John's responsibility to do X,Y,Z but your lines aren't from the UAS group buy as far as I remember... Has your supplier offered any suggestions?
There are two issues in that pic. The rears will still use the OEM hard pipe and strain relief bracket. They are half the length of the local kit which is correct for OEM stock hose replacement. And the fronts as you said, have the strain relief ferrules. This is a nice kit !! and what should have been supplied.
Rob, my interest in this whole thread is to make sure everyone knows what they have and how it relates to their vehicle. There has been a hell of a lot of people buying these Brake Lines from multiple vendors. I dont believe I ever suggested I got my lines from UAS.. The only correlation is that they are similar to the UAS ones but even then they are NOT the same. Mine could be considered to be the worst of the lot since they have no Date tags or anti whip collars as well as the short comings of the ones that came from the GB. Ive only asked for pics from John because if hes going to the effort of testing them why not take some happy snaps for the benefit of all.
I would be very interested to see if they fit no probs John. As my ones are gaining no interest in the for sale section, maybe because people are thinking I'm selling coz they don't fit. Which is not the case at all, I'm trying to gather funds in order to fix the drivers guard which some idiot did a hit n run on. On the other hand if they do/don't sell I would like to know if the new owner or myself can fit these, thank you.

ok well just looking at the lines i have sitting here which have not been fitted to my car yet which were from the UAS GB last year. In the following picture the bits circled i dont even have them on my lines. The part number which is on the box is TNN0700-4P
John, why do you continue to slander against Maltech products without having any proof that we actually manufactured these hoses that you say have failed. I would be interested to know what vehicles the hoses have all been fitted to. Also the hose you say you have on your desk that has failed should have a number stamped on the end steel fitting. please pm or email me that number. The other hoses that have so called failed will also have that number. these numbers would also be appreciated. Still no complaints from customers stating that there hoses have failed, so l find it hard to believe that they are Maltech products. Thank you Steve Maltech
Well, actually he did but then john cleared it up in a subsequent post, saying it wasn't a Maltech line and he had no camera in the shop. How about we keep this thread on topic. In fact, I'll probably clean up any further comments on Maltech lines, as it is a thread on Goodridge brake lines, and this whole Maltech thing is a distraction.
Fair point removing comments on unproven failures and yes would expect the same if the roles were reversed, but surely discussion on comparable products is relevant to the thread?
