ACT Dyno Day Saturday June 13

Truth be told.

I'm going to try and get down there to catch up with everyone - I may even have a new Z by then if all goes well...

 

Spoke to Ed today and confirmed that dyno day is going ahead. Starting time is 10am and we should finish about 1pm based on current numbers.

Autotech have a BBQ we can use, so I'll bring along some sausages, bread and sauces for a sausage sizzle. You don't have to be running on the dyno to participate in the sausage consumption.

One request from Autotech, we need to make sure we keep traffic lanes clear so that other businesses in the area are not impacted.

Andrew, you should be able to try both ECUs but you'll need to have it ready to be easily swapped (floor removed and ECU unbolted).

Well I took my Blue Zed for the first 'major' drive in 9 months since I decided to become a backyard mechanic (ie I manage an ISP and have no mechanic skills... Fitted a FMIC, new rad, thermo, PCVs, AIV+CC delete, new hoses all around, battery and the most fun, an E-Boost!) and it purred like a kitten! Roared like a ... lion? and most of all, didnt break!

Drove out to see Leo at Gloss refinishers in Queanbeyhole and booked it in for Friday. New front bar (Greddy) and a fixed up front quarter panel to go on.

So I should be on the roads of Canberra again in less than 1 1/2 weeks and just in time for a dyno day!:thumbup:

Hi Guys, I have a GTR which I have made some mods to lately and would really like to bring it along on the day to see how it goes...........If that is ok with everyone ?

 

We still have a few spare slots on the dyno, so come along.

It's a two wheel dyno, so I think you'll need to disconnect a front driveshaft or something so the front wheels don't drive you off the dyno. They've dynoed plenty of GTR's, so they must know how to do it.

 

That's a bit harsh, but when you drive a hairdresser's car, you have to expect that

I've got a mate with a GTIR, i wanna see what it can push out... it goes pretty hard for a pulsar.

Theres a honda accord euro too (Yeah V-Tec wooo...:diespam and an FTO that might be attending... If thats too many just let me know Ian.

You do know that you can pull the fuse and it will be fine to run, failing that i could sweet talk ED into pulling out the front shaft, it only takes 10mins to do, i have personally seen them do it dozens of times. (Im there quite often).

Correct me if i'm wrong but isnt a GTIR AWD?

I've driven one before and it doesnt feel like a rear wheel drive car.
(Unless its a FWD car??)
