    Wouldn't be worth the hassle...

You would be crazy to try and make a VG30DETT, into a VG30DE. Just keep shopping, there are plenty of neat NA's about.

    Yes and lots...

If you're ever in an accident you will most certainly get done, aswell as voiding any insurance claim.

    Ok then...

Sure, it can be done. But it will cost you a lot (thousands). The engines VG30DETT, and VG30DE are built totally different. It's not as simple as unbolting the turbos, and away you go.
Surely a little research, and you could have worked that out yourself. A TT Z, and NA Z are miles apart.

To cut a long story short, the only same thing really is the chassis

Dude, no offense but are you high? Buy an NA, the turbos are already unbolted strangely enough.

There is no cheap easy way of turning a turbo car into a NA car, you can go the other way with moderate success if you are careful though. If you are only 17 buy a little hot hatch and save your money for when you are on your opens and then you can have some fun

Oh ok, I get it now! lol

Sure you can, you can put a pumpkin in place of the turbo if you really want but the point is why? What's the point in buying a turbocharged car and then spending a bunch of money making it slower? Not only that but the NA variants are almost always cheaper...

You'll need to pull the turbo and use an NA manifold, swap the injectors, ecu and whatever else might be different. If you cant do this yourself it's going to cost thousands.

sim300 is right.not only is the engine different but so is the driveline. its a hefty task to undertake. instead of doing work to the tt in making it an na you would be better off switching engines and driveline all together. or better yet buy an na and spend the left over cash you saved (from not buying the tt) and do it up to look like the tt you are interested in. it will save you ALOT of time, money and effort mate. :) if you like the tt because of the way it looks (body kit, interior etc) then get an na and spend the money on buying the same kit etc. only after maintenance though. making sure the engine is running well

how do you define the car you saw as "nice"? Is it the paintjob? Bodykit? Interior? or is it just a big stereo?

If thats the case, its alot easier to just buy a bloody NA, and rather than spending the money that you'd save buying a turbo and converting it into a NA, you can easily use the money to buy like 20 subwoofers and paint your car chameleon pink with a 'beautiful' veilside kit.

People here are not stupid, step back and have a think why everyone is saying its a waste of money and a perfectly good car to 'take off' the turbos. Have a look at the cars these people own, the amount of time and effort they have put in and think about the experience the people have.
