You bloody sook Mike! I drove all the way back from the Sunshine Coast to my place (100k+) with a rooted shifter mount. Just have to hold the shifter up, and you can get into all gears. I had a short shifter too ;)

i chose the food place, beats chad's prinny hwy kebabs by miles i reckon :p, but yes it was still a good night despite the lack of drag racing,

chrispy, the tow was free thanks to RACV total care and mike got to ride home in my car, emma got to drive my car and i got to ride in chris' car, so everyone was happy

haha drive back holding the shifter up like a jackass or be chauffeured back in a zed w/ free towing. mmm tough choice that :p

Which means I had no chance! Couldn't leave work till 5:45, hit Calder about 7pm. End of story.

Might have to check out what Heathcote are doing on Sundays, cos me getting to Calder before 4pm on a Friday is never gonna happen :mad::mad:.

read the posts on the previous page... they let cars in 2 hours earlier than advertised so it filled up before we got there

was speaking to my mate (the guy with the rodeo ute who we saw in the carpark) and he said they started letting cars in again later in the evening... but apparently it was so crowded that most people were only getting 2 runs

hopefully SAU will be organising the SAU v WRX club drag day at heathcote early next year, we might be able to tag along with them. don't really see the point of going to calder if they are only running once a month, it will always be too crowded...
