    Hello all.

    I AM NOT AN ALCOHOLIC
I just think the world is a better place when I'm under the influence :p :bash:

Hey, I believe in following tradition at these events ... and that is to get pissy and act like an idiot. Glad I didn't dissapoint :p

Ok, where do I start. From the beginning I guess.
MagicMike and his GF Cara were kind enough to put me up and put on a delicious feed for me on Wed night, thankyou once again guys.
Then we met up with the rest of the Qld crew at Nerang and did the Long, eventful treck down to Caz1's place in Woolongong Thursday morning. The trip included me bursting a rear tyre after going over a huge mound in the road, Chrispy overheating and having serious doubts his engine still had life left in it - but the mighty VG30DE proved to be a fighter and after a oil change and coolant change ran perfectly once again.

Finally hit Caz1's beautiful home and had a party in her honour while she was slaving over her Zed doing the 100,000k service till 4.00am

Then we finally arrived at Corwa after a nice twisty cruiZe.

Everyone is still as lovely and friendly as I remember since last time. I was glad to see some new faces and particularly glad to have finally met Lloyd (CHILI) and his lovely wife Lyn. Mate, I could talk with you forever and a day. A very friendly and entertaining couple, and I hope to have that pleasure again soon.

I got to chat with pretty much everyone over the weekend, but some that I want to make special mentions to....

Wykked & Blondie: Thankyou very very much for hosting the even this year.
K-zed: A born leader and a really, really top bloke.
Hyper101: Stu, couldn't meet a nicer bloke and you make a great web host indeed.
90TTZ: Karl you know what i think about you bud, if there was anyone i'd want to have a beer, a chat and work on my Zed it would be you mate. So much Zed knowledge, a true pioneer and always a treat catching up with you.
Andymac: I think we are traditionally the dangerous duo when we pair up, if it's not playing the scot and the mullet man it's doing evil canevil stunts on trikes. You really are so much fun mate.
Magicmike: always tops to catch up and I sooo approve of your GF Cara, great couple.
Chrispy: What a great sport you are when some long haired lout tries to take advantage of you while sleeping :p - for a 21yr old you have a lot of wisdom and great chatting to you.
ShazzaZedda: a true Zed lover flew down from Townsville and drove in a Shaggarolla the whole weekend. I take my hat off to you girl. Great catching up!
BlackBaz: A Zed event would not be the same without you. You simply make a Zedfest the fun, wonderful event that it is.
Caz1: The hostess with the mostess. No one in the whole world could flaw you girl, you have a heart of gold and provide great help, products and services to every member here.
Oni: I love your Zed, and I love chatting to you mate. You have so much intelligence and wit that between you, Black Baz and Chili - we could rule the world!
HaylZ: I had to save yours to a PM.

It's hard to sum up some of the people here properly because they aren't forum members, they are my family and can be hard to put into words how it means to spend these times together.

Once again, an honour to have been apart of Cowra Zedfest and be part of this awesome Zed community! :zlove: :zlove: :zlove:

Where were you when I was single?:p:eek::eek:
Lynn is also particularly interested in hearing your answer to this question.:(:(

Thanks for the kind words Benny, I will save a seat for you when you get banned(which is now inevitable, given this shocking display of mutual affection toward the Demon from NSW).:bash::bow2::bow2::zlove::p:p:p:p

Your assessment of the various members listed, is so accurate it's scary.:zlove:

Thanks for being so much fun.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

  7. Blipman

    Blipman Beer hooves totally work

    Damn you all

I was finally content to not own a Z and now I'm thinking about one again! After seeing all the sweet cars it's just so tempting to get one in the driveway again.

    Thanks to:
Lee for help with the bent rim, it held up the whole way home and still has good pressure. Stop. Hammer time!

Carl, Benny, Haylz for all the drinks... I don't know whose they were but I was contstantly having beers thrust in my hands no matter how much I protested... it was great!

Douggie for organizing accommodation. It's sweet when all I have to do is say 'yep' and it's all done for me :)

Benny for the rabbit kidnap. I'm not quite sure how that happened but I woke up with a stuffed rabbit in the morning (not a euphamism).

Jen, Pete, Rob and everyone involved with the actual organization

    Carl for the drive

Byron for helping me dig up some repressed memories

    red32 You talkin' to me?

    Pot hole claims second victim...

but unlike Ben, I was not run off the road by a real boat, I clipped an apex too tight and put a wheel off the edge. Not as much damage as Ben's wheel, but still made for a shakey run home!

As of this moment, Ron, you do!:D

I only noticed it missing when I unpacked the car last night.

They are cheap enough, and freight to Melb would cost more than its replacement value. Enjoy!

    I'll put it aside

For you Dougy till next time we meet,
I own a near brand new one that i keep forgetting to take with me, probably why its near brand new.:D
    cheers Ron

    Stubbie holder?

    Hey everyone,

To go with the green chair (which has now found its owner), just a reminder that I've manged to come home with one extra stubbie holder (black) than I actually paid for!?

Lemme know who be missing theirs...

    Baz..... :zlove:

    IB ?????

Looks like everyone had a great time.

I was surprised to see Jack, Mikey, Keza and Di on Friday at Bathurst.

I saw a few of you heading home on Monday but I didn't get a wave back from any of you:(

Cool, would have been good to see some of the real action at Bathurst, rather than the boring familiarisation laps.

    Cowra ZEDfest...thumbs up.......

What can I say???? Great Cars, Great People and a Great time!!!
It seemed to take forever to come around and it was over in an instant.
I?m always amazed by the unbelievable people that this association brings together, and the effort that people will go to be apart of the Zedfest gatherings.

I finally got to meet the ?Queenslanders?, (which includes DINO) that are a fantastic bunch of people. They certainly know how to have a good time and made us all feel like one big family.

I?m also humbled in receiving two awards, as there were so many other Zeds at Cowra deserving of recognition. Thank you so much Peter and Jenny for organising this event ? you guys rock!

    Until we meet again.....

    Hi Ian,
We saw you going home, but weren't quick enough to flash you(I'm getting older and slower, you know), plus we were not in a friendly mood as we were suffering severe withdrawal symptoms due to the weekend being over so quickly.:p:p

Judy and you were very much missed at Cowra.:(:zlove::zlove:

What I Did For My Easter Holiday...

by Doug Lower, age 60 and a half!

Cowra itself has been well covered by others, so here are a few happy snaps of our journey.

    On the road again...
I worked out that ZXTT1 and DREDZ have done about 16,000km together over the last 5 years. Gets very confusing if we see each other around town, as the cars want to follow each other. :)

    Damn 2+2 drone...

    Check mirror, indicate, merge...

There's a man with a camera in that car...

Stu gets all artsy... (alternative title: Jeez that truck was hiking)

Brown is the popular colour in Victoria this year...

Same in NSW, but there are more lumpy bits...

The Hume freeway will be brilliant when finished
    [IMG]

Welcome, if unfamiliar, sight near Cowra...

    Didn't last long though...

Friday at Mt Panorama, just a few of the entrants...

    IB's mate's little screamer...

Would you let these guys work on your Zed?

    Couple of familiar faces...

They left before we did, though...

There's that man with a camera again...

    Jack likes his "Choo-choo's"

    They hooked up again...

Came home with over 700 "trophies". Now, just have to figure out how to get them off the camera card so it's ready for Warwick. Maybe I'll just buy another card.

I'm not the only one on the forum who needs glasses! :p

  19. red32

    red32 You talkin' to me?

Mine are always near-brand new, because I have to keep replacing them! It's probably a good thing that I don't like walking, otherwise I would lose the Zed!
