    Nice pics everyone......

Wish we could have made it a day earlier to get to Bathurst but work was flat out all week and I was actually starting to wonder at one point if I was going to get to go to Cowra......I was knackered when I arrived (needed lots of sleep), and funilly enough, I was knackered when I left....There was some very strange night life that I swear sounded like people giggling and trying ever so hard to whisper over one another....:p

Thank you for all of the Thanks, but not needed, it was a pleasure.

Just to echo on my sentiments from the presentation night, a great bunch of lads and gals, and Caz you need a medal my dear. Well done with what I hear was a record service in record time...

Have booked for Warwick and looking forward to it.

Now looking forward to the GOR cruise....Then the V8's in Hamilton NZ, Yay..

Hey Mike, I'll be at Warwick, not for the whole weekend, but at least for a full day.

    Sure looked like a blast.
    Beautiful pics guys gals.
Hopefully new friendships forged, now some of you have met for the first time :)

Back home! Leigh and I made the 5000KM round trip arriving in Townsville about 14:30, just in time for me to jump in the other car and pick the kids up from school, very excited to see me they were :) The rebuilt engine did not miss a beat all the way and is trully run in. I took a few people for a squirt and managed to get some smiles of approval ;)

Unfortunately our trip home did not go without incident. Leighs RH rear Tie Rod adjustment bar ripped out of the HICAS eliminator bar so after a 25 minute stop in the blazing heat we put it back together and limped to Eidsvold which was another 19KM down the road. His Z looked like it was in a permanent drift:eek: We found a small engineering shop which they were only to happy to let us use their workshop and tools which we cleaned up the thread and managed to get it started and threw in a heap of loctite 609. No way the rod is ever coming out. We managed to tighten up the other side as well a few turns too. Got to Rockhampton about 20:00 and spent the night there.

Had a another top ZedFest. Big thanks to Jen and Pete for putting all the important bits together, pleasure meeting you face to face finaly.

I took a real step back this time and enjoyed chatting with everyone although there has been some members talk about the time and I don't remember meeting them at all  Had a blast catching up with everyone from Coona and great to meet Chili, OZZ, Niven, Stef, ACTZX and Hyper101, yes Stu is taller than me ;)

I was absolutely humbled on Sunday night when I was presented the award for 'Entrants Choice'. Although this award does not relate to anything in particular, it told me that my peers really apreciate the effort I have put into modding my Z. Some people said it was because I was a nice guy  I mentioned in my speech that originally I intended only to put on a nice set of wheels and a bit of a sound system and that was it. Of course everyone laughed as they too would have likely had a similar idea once upon a time:rolleyes: Really appreciate all the positve remarks about the engine bay. As I said to many that day, alot of hours and coin have gone into that and am happy it has progressed pretty much to how I had planned.

To all my room mates, had a blast as usual. Magic Mike and Cara so cool. Benny and Andy set the scene for party. Chrispy is that sort of dude that is great to chat to whenever you want. Leigh was in and out all weekend making the most of it. HaylZ, thanks for being the best PSA:) . We had some really cool chats and look forward to next time. We both agreed that it was amazing we know such an awesome group of people all because of one awesome car :zlove:

The person I need to give the top honour award is my dear wife:bow2: . She reluctantly let me go away for 8 days whilst she ran a house with three kids, one of them being 9 weeks old. She said on Saturday if my Mum was not there she would have said to pack up my stuff and get back home. She is so supportive of me doing stuff with the Z and you bunch. It's things like this make me appreciate her all the more:biggrin: .

I have some cool vids and pics but I really need to work on feeling my old self again with an early nap time.

    Can't wait for 2010, Armidale ;)

Lynn and I are really glad you guys made it back home safely and without any major incidents.
It was a delightful bonus to meet all of you AND see your excellent efforts in car craft.

Carl, we look forward to meeting you again before too long, so stay safe and keep Zedding. Until then, enjoy your family and take care of that unique Z32.

It was a pleasure to spend some time with each of you.

    Cheers
    Lynn and Lloyd Chilcott.:zlove::zlove:

Only joking, he wants a convertible  , but hey, maybe the new car has quashed that nagging want......

Sorry to take so long to post

The Zedfest was fantastic. Arrived Friday with the Sydney crowd (had to pick up GF in Sydney). Saturday morning GF took longer than me to get ready so missed going to the Dam but met up at Woodstock. Made sure that we got to everything else.

Just some pix that may not be covered by someone else. Have more and may upload later if necessary.

    Back in the real world

Just a quick post, but I have to thank all who attended Cowra for making it such a great weekend.
Cowra was my first event with the association, and I must say it was the best time I've had in a very long time.
Firstly i must thank all the queenslanders, they made the drive interesting and personanable. I am blown away at how freindly every one was.
I'd like to thank caz for the great party on Thurday night, next time she might even be there. Byron, for willingly being a PSA in the marigold Z31.
All the peeps from party central, for putting up with drunken yobbos out front after they went to bed.
But seriously if i was to go through and thank everyone who helped make me feel welcome I'd be typing everyones names here.

So let me close with "Bring on Warick"

    my thanks to all.

BLACK BAZ IS BACK .... yo .....!!!!!!

... a 15.5 hours drive straight through on friday from Bermagui on the NSW south coast to Robina on the Gold Coast, via the Kangaroo Valley, skirting Sydney and the heaps of roadworks thereafter finishing off with 2 hours of damn heavy rain and 80kph traffic after Ballina ... totally knackered on arriving home at midnight and 1250kms ( all up the Cowra/bermagui.gold coast trip was 3365kms ... with black bess not missing a beat ... just beautiful ...!!!)......

.. so what to do today ....??? .. trace a bloody persistent fuel leak that was evident at Cowra and "fixed" .. only to be "fixed" again at Bermagui .. and to be ever present this morning ... so this pm, it's replacing the two fuel lines under the battery ... GOTTA LOVE THE ZED .. just wants you to play with it forever ... :D :D :D

Well that's the benefit of having an N/A Baz. Those leaking hoses has a nice hot exhaust turbine housing directly adjacent on my Z.
