90TTZ i like this...i personally would be using it for another means though as someone previously mentioned (safe tune on 12-13 psi and another aggresive map for drags etc)....

interested to see how the development comes along.

I have not mentioned anything about price. I said it will be less than $200. That means it can be anywhere between $.01 and $199.99. I simply through that bit in to ease certain people thinking it was going to be $500+.

As far as tune switching goes, yes what you just said can be done but for most people, soldering wires and installing switches etc is daunting for a lot of people and their soldering skills are frightening to say the least. Plus doing it that way has potential for a false address read by the ECU causing the ECU to go into fail safe mode and if in the right circumstances could prove catastrophic for the engine. If I am putting my name to something it is going to be fail safe, like the 91 tune I am developing. Yes developing means monitoring of detonation and AFR, dyno and real time examination on the road. Sure I could just retard the heck out of the timing map and try and convince everyone this is the best thing since sliced bread, but that's just not me.

There are heaps of products out there that only contain a few dollars worth of parts but I am no charity. There is a bit more cost and time involved in this than you realise. I think I have the right to reclaim my R&D costs somehow as any developer or business would do.

Moderators, could we please lock this thread (something I miss from the old cfm software). Will keep this project under wraps until I have some hard evidence so people can ask questions and make comments on something that is real rather than have a slinging match.

I think this has all been rather funny. I run mine on regular unleaded ( which I assume is 91 RON?). I believe it's supposed to run on regular unleaded. It will always run on regular unleaded. There arn't that many cars that need premium fuel, and I'm pretty sure our old Nissans arn't one of them. It's been a funny thread. Keep it up (sorry M8). Go the Link ECU:cool:
