    easy way to test

have you got a boost leak tester or can you get your hands on one?
maybe make the famous cheap and nasty one, throw abit of compressed air into it and see if it leaks ;)
Just trying to throw ideas around Josh, orry if I'm not helping :(

I'll be pulling off the plenum this week to delete the egr to remove that, chuck in boost controller if I can find it,

I feel something else has to be up than just a bit of a leak... It's not lacking power it's almost like its negative power

No lines going to the wastegates means they'll boost till exhaust pressure in the housing physically pushes them open.

which is good, means i can disconnect them totally, drive and it should have boost if vac lines are what did it..

If still no boost drop exhaust and dumps and see how the wastegates sit.

Firstly "idles fine, no hunting" rules out a boost/vac leak that could cause such an issue. I had a sizable leak from a shot injector insulator and the bloody thing would barely run, assuming your still running a MAF.

Sounds to me like the wastegates are opening permenately.

Issues such as significant leaks, or IC plumbing, etc would cause idling and drivablility issues.

Maybe pop the dumps off and see whats happening.

I had a bent pin on one of my injectors in a pulsar and the car idled and drove fine till you hit 3000rpm . It wouldnt boost and bog down like there was nothing .

It was also fine and happened all of a sudden ...

    I recall recently A-Bris-Z had a similar issue with O2 sensors .

A-Bris-Z had brand new too but they werent OEM . So even non genuine NEW sensors can still give you grief .

mine are OEM... straight from CZP...

hmm actually ill have to double check if they are oem...

getting a fair bit of smoking around the seal but that i assume was just heating up for the first time.

easy enough to get to i might swap them back to the old ones see if that makes any difference

I think you will find just disconnecting them will make it work if there is an issue with them .

    he's a thinker!

hmmm so we are all pretty confident it is air related as apposed to fuel or spark related?

Agree completely, your turbos aren't spinning enough to make boost. Either they are not going round and round because they have jammed or the gates are open.

Nothing else will create no boost. This is assuming you haven't fiddled with everything else to stop it hunting and stalling.

why wouldnt they be spinning enough? you can hear them gliding for a god 5-10s after so clearly they are free moving.

dumps, gates, turbos all connected and never removed from when they came out of the last car.

could something have been damaged? or how would a gate get stuck open?

just trying to think logically here, 100% mint condition before what would cause it to suddenly stop...

we are 100% sure its not fuel related yes? only reason i ask is that the fuel pump had come out (incase it was badly reinstalled and we were told they were bigger injectors but from the outside it looks stock.. in case the stock ones were highflowed or something and now its running bulk lean?
