Mate the incorrect dealings with me are mounting. It appears now that when I changed from Z1 dumps and test pipes I thought I was getting the change over price to Specialty Z 3" dumps but in fact I was getting the cheaper mass produced version with no reduction in price for the change over, IE I got no credit for the Z1 dumps and test pipes, RIPPED ! There is also a good chance that I have a copied version of the Z1 GT600r turbo kit, as i said earlier this would explain why I had to wait for the silicon returns that were available when I ordered but for some reason had to come separate from Z1. I am in contact with Z1 trying to work this out. Not to mention a much heavier question mark over the previous issues I had with open products and if they are in good condition and genuine ? I wonder if now that hes a new man if he will fix what he previously refused ?
At what point in time did Rob appoint you as his spokesperson? A modified 300 Degree Fuel Rail, is still a 300 Degree Fuel Rail(with modifications) just as a Garrett Turbocharger that has been hi-flowed, is still a Garrett Turbocharger, IMHO.
Sure thats right Chili? "we did make 300degree style fuel rails and sell them as 300degree brand. We had them modified so they would accept an o-ring, because the original one did not accept o-rings, and many people complained about leaks" I think it sounds as if Coz went out and made a whole new rail, modified for his purposes, and branded them with someone elses brand. To me it doesnt sound like he took existing authentic 300degree rails and machined them to suit his purposes and sold them on.. that would just be a modified 300degree rail. In that case, its like taking a Garrett Turbocharger design, giving it to someone else to copy, modify ever so slightly to suit a purpose, and then branding it a Garrett Turbocharger. So was it a modified authentic 300degree rails? Or was it a CZP copy manufacture and then 300degree branded?
coz has said he made new units, not just modifying them and 300degree has announced that there are FAKE COPIES.. not modified ones.... these are not even clsoe to genuine brand...
comparing those pics to the ones that 300 deg has put up of the fakes, there dont seem to be any of a difference between yours and the fakes... i would definantly be getting on to someone regarding those...
Hey Ross, I asked coz point blank what we got in the group buy and he said he has no records of who got what. I think we are OK, definately a satin finish. Also mine don't leak so I probably won't pursue any further.
Just because they don't doesn't mean they won't. When it comes to the possibility of an engine bay fire, I wouldn't take any chances. Do the extra work now to save some potentially horrible work later if you have the fakes or even suspect you do.
Just got a response from 300degree saying they appear to be the counterfeit copies. How does it work with the group buy and what to do with them? Any ideas Rob260?
Im pretty sure coz said if you ended up with the fake version then he would replace them with the original 300degree rail... bit late for a recall for those who have already installed these though
