    COWRA BREAKOUT

Wow what a fantastic weekend, just home in Sydney after a very slow crawl over the Blue Mountains.

Many many thanks to everyone involved in organizing a terrific weekend, to particularly Wykked & Blondie, the Cruize master Cap?t Rob and everyone else involved, we had a ball.

Special thanks to Doug for helping us understand the dark mysteries of Zed power windows.:bow2:

We trust everyone gets home safely.

We can?t wait for next year.:zlove:

    Cheers

    Tim & Ellie

Dino home safe & tired. Chris joined me on the run from Coona to the coast (and I think he had some fun for an hour of twists and turns on the Old Armidale road to Grafton).

Another super weekend (just goes too quick).

HaylZ got to leave Cowra with a new extended family, gaining a spare pop, grandad, uncle, and big brother. So watch out all you young pups!

Can't wait till the next one.

    red32 You talkin' to me?

Yet another "Ab Fab" Easter weekend! Can't post any pics yet, because I left my SD card adapter in Cowra (unless RZM picked it up).

Power windows... Ellie and Tim's "Zena" had paxside window failure... stuck in down position. Things threatened to blow out into a full-scale 'domestic' about who was going to sit next to the open window on the way home, so I offered to take the control box from "Dredz" so they could at least get the window up. Offer gladly received! So I proceeded to strip Dredz's drivers-side door and get the control box off (according to Tim we only lost one lap (took about 3 minutes)). Fitted control box to Zena... still no window operation. Then I noticed the button at the front of the window control panel. "Tim" I said, "press that switch at the front so it pops up!" Lo, and another miracle... the window rises again (sorry for the slight blasphemy, but it was Easter Sunday). Amazing what can happen when the power switch is in the correct position. Refitted Zena's control box, and a whole series of up, down, up, down follows, and then, horrors, the window stops 5cm short of full up. After a bit of fiddling it went all the way, and that's where we left it. So there's still a problem, probably a dry solder joint. Tim to follow-up!
And thanks for the beer, Tim. I really didn't have room for it after that massive mixed grill (largest single plate of meat I have ever seen/eaten), but I managed it somehow.

Safely home today, with Stu doing most of the driving... I just couldn't stay awake, even after many large doses of caffeine.

    Now, 2010! Who's coming?

    Lil' Baz I Love Skeptics!!!

    Joining the Chorus!

    Hi all,

An absolutely fantastic weekend, with oodles of fun had by all!!!

    :D

Thank you so much to Blondie and Wykked :bow2: for organising everything for Cowra Zedfest '08, thanks to K-zed for the cruise on Saturday :bow2: and thanks to everyone who turned up to make Zedfest '08 into the incredible weekend it was!!!

I didn't have my Zed due to it still being in a number of pieces (wiring not completely loomed, headlight wiring not working, and a fuel issue needing to be tracked down  ). Therefore she was being uncooperative with the idea of a short (at least for us Canberran's) run to lovely Cowra. To be expected though, we didn't fire up the newly built motor until Wednesday night, ha, ha, ha!

None-the-less, I didn't want to miss this one and the chance to hang out with a bunch of absolutely amazing Zedders, many of whom have helped me out greatly via our irreplaceable Forum - some few I knew and most I didn't. The chance to put some faces to forum nic's was just to good to miss this time (my Zed was off the road for the last Zedfest and last two ND Nationals), so my partner, Leia, and I piled into the 4x4 and slummed the weekend in the Land Rover Discovery.

Personal thanks to Zedmd for all of the effort he put in to try and get my Zed ready for Zedfest (though it was not fated to be  ), again to Blondie & Wykked & K-zed, to OZZ for showing that there's actually a yellow car that can be HOT!, to Caz for, well... just being Caz, and to Hyper 101 for keeping this forum available and running for us all.

    Cowra simply rocked... 'Nuff said!

    Baz..... :zlove:

    P.S.

I've managed to come home one black Aus300ZX stubbie holder heavier than I should have... If some rotten b@st@rd (e.g. me... !? ) has buggered of with yours, lemme know...

    :D

Awesome weekend (as usual) met a few new faces and caught up with some old. Sad to see a lack of Victorians (kinda) but the Queenslanders made up for it in more ways than one! Lots of laughs, lots of Z talk, LOTS of drinking, lots of breathtesting (Benny blew 0.4 (yes 0.4) at 8am Fairyland time (or daylight savings time as some call it) Sunday morning - 7 hours after his last drink) and lots of great memories to add to the collection.

We took a ridiculous amount of photos so we won't post them all at once!
