my dad chose my first car (which was luckily a zed) but he showed me lots and apparently he got the best reaction out of the zed. Plus he really wanted a "weekender" not that he ever had the chance to drive it. I want another because when i am walking up to it in the carpark in my head im saying "thats my car" and being really proud of it. Right now i walk up to my laser with huge sunglasses on and my head hung low...

lol those SR20 fan boys make me laugh now.

Allthough be careful, one of my mates has a worked S13 with an SR20. Im actually expecting him to beat me at the 1/4 mile.

But we'll be going to the plex to find out the truth. not the street ;)

Of course.... its taken him 3 engines and a couple of gear boxes to get this car to where a stock zed would be :D

    wanted:

    a) targa
    b) manual
    c) RWD

in that order and on a budget. so it was either SW20 or Zed. decent SW20s were too hard to find so ended up with a zed.

    P-plate laws

Im a perforamnce freak, and at teh time of lookin to buy my first car i was bound by teh NSW p-plate restrictions. plus as i had to buy the car myself i wasnt exactly cashed up. The zed was the best BYFB (bang for your buck), plus it is a beautiful looking car... Basically it was perfect for what i wanted :zlove: :zlove: :zlove:

My mum originally bought it by mistake at a auction, and drove it around for a month or so. then i drove it and instantly fell in love with the 300zx..
grabbed it for 7grand in the end..

Sports cars have TWO DOORS. I had a LX Hatch with a worked 308 that I was thinking of rebuilding but I thought it would cost too much and still be just a 1977 car. I looked at the current aussie cars, HSVs etc, but no two doors! Then the Monaro came out at the motor shows, and I thought that's not bad. I waited until HSV got their hands on one and did their thing but by this time the price had ballooned out to $70000+. A mate had this little red thing at work and said go have a drive so I kept the car for about a month and said "where can you get this much power, TWO DOORS and sexy body shape for such a good price?" So I bought the Mighty Z:zlove:

i believe the power in the sr20 is some where near the back....

and it only performs when no-one is watching

I'm wanting one because its got to be one of the best lookin cars for what I want to spend, plus its got a bit of go in it :p

cannot understand why so many p-platers in my town spend equivalent amounts on VN commodores with 20 inch chrome rims :bash: :bash:
