Or was that 1000, losing count. Anywho, engine out again to add some new bits, replace some old. Gotta luv the Aussie dollars parity with the US of A atm. Will add pics as i go. Back on the hoist. Out she comes. Some BDE cam gears. Doctoring some AMS manifolds
Onya Wiz... and if I am not mistaken that is the workshop at BP? Used to be the place for regos when I had the 260z haha...
Looking good Wiz...i take it ill hear from you soon re the 28R's... What you doing with the AMS Manis??? Port matching to the head... i should be seeing my AMS manis sometime soon as well.
Yep,to all of The questions, mainly a freshen up, New rings and bearings, give it a hone, wasn't built that long ago, so should be still in good nick. Throw in some cams, bigger turbos, valve stem seals etc. Clutch looks about 50%, ( must have been all those drag meets) so will have to pay JP a visit and screw his arm. Oni, bring the chair dude, Matt ,will give you a call, Rob, BP's the one,
So it is another full rebuild pretty much, I though you were only going to pull the motor and swap turbos and cams. Big power once its finished!!!
The hardest part Is pulling the engine Matt, so might as well give it the once over while it's out, silly not to replace the wearable parts. Looking for a lazy 500rwhp.
Hey big Col Definately getting back to the island as soon as i can manage it, hope to see you there again. Ports man you better stay away, iv'e got plenty of work for you and your muscles.
I found pulling the engine the easiest part, didn't have to drop the crossmember either...not sure why some do. Im hoping to get myself another block to slowly stripped and rebuild after i've gotten use to the TT. I think the hardest part would be assembling the heads though it's easy enough to get them done and just fit them to the motor. Did you go for the 2871's or something else??
Yeah Matt Been flat stick busy with work, haven't had much time to work on the Zed, Putting in long hours on it when i can. Have those turbos out if you want a look at them? Oni dropped by to offer advice and lend a hand. Cleaning up the bores before reassembly.
Love your work Ron! eagerly waiting for your updates mate. ...Geoff, i didn't recognise you for a second there! You've trimmed up buddy!
