Zeds ruled at Eastern Creek yesterday

I beat my best time by over 2 seconds and best yesterday was 1 min 44.56 but Jason ZX2NV second time at track and first time at Eastern Creek smashed all but one R34 GTR on slicks with mods and a moded GTS-T and in comparision Jasons car much less experience and mods did a 1 min 52.61.
Well done Jason and glad to have you out there.
Big thanks to Wizard once again helping me. He helped me change spark plugs in the heat as the old set were over and breaking down.

I am really stoked 6th overall is better than expected thats for sure. Well done John for shaving 2 seconds off you PB the slot car sounded and looked awesome from the roof yesterday.

Its official I am now as Wokburner would say a track slut I love it. I am in for every track day from now on.

The car was going great yesterday apart from an intercooler hose popping off. A few little tweaks helped on the day but really need to setup the suspension better for the track as I feel this could have helped gain a few more seconds. The CF GT wing helped enormously through the quick left hander at the end of the straight and a few other high speed corners.

 

Sounds like those extra cooling vents you were showing me the other day have paid off well for you john, well done, nice times Jason, hopefully be joining you two out on the track soon

thats why i havent gone out yet cos i would want to go every week and in my cars current condition it wont handle it so just gotta look after it for a little while and get everything up to scratch and then ill be out there

for pics on car check out caz's skidpan day thread in post events. There is also some pretty serious bracing on the underside of the liftback to stop flexxing etc 4mm alloy plate holds it all together well. Very fiddly job.

Yeah to my suprise it cam up okay actually. I was a little worried about the overall look once fitted but think I found the perfect wing to compliment the car and to also serve an important purpose on the track aswell.
