The weather held out perfectly out at WSID tonight with 3 members racing and a few others spectating. My best run was my third with a new PB of 12.528 at 108MPH. The track seemed quite sticky tonight and netted a best 60ft time of 1.685 on the same run. That put me 3rd on the draglist for about 3 minutes until Matt (Wokburner) ran an SUPERB 12.3! On street tyres no less. That time puts you 2nd on the draglist Matt, well done mate Also Jason ZX2NV did a 12.7 but had a few issues with his NOS setup. Good to meet up with you guys and also thanks to Bigbaz and Asher for providing support.

Was a good night, and some excellent times run and also some good news that the wednesday night drags are now wednesday and friday night drags so two nights a week of drags
Man that was fun and Dam I am addicted again! Once I get this bar and sort my wheel bearing noise out, I'll have to come see ya for a set of those tyres Caz! What a fun night and good to see some of the regular lads out there again. Mmm happy boy at the min with a 12.32 @ 114 Mph. Was happy just getting into the 12's with a 12.9 on the 1st run but the 2nd it all just hooked up (man it fealt good) 3rd run I got a little excited with the throttle and after amusing the crowd with a big burnout rolled through for a 18.1 LOL, then a 12.7, 12.8 and then the last one got excited with the boost (16psi) and popped an intercooler hose, oops. All fixed and drove off home. Jason and JT ran consistantly quick, with the Jason getting the prize for the quickest improvement in times ever. What was it mate 1.5 seconds faster. Yeah it was a good night with heaps of runs I had 5 ithink JT got 6 or 7 in tonight. Congrats to wokburner with a top time must have found the perfect recipe for that pass. Jt was running consistent as well and experimenting with the MT drag radials. I had issues. Getting used to the MT's as well. My new thermo fan doesnt do the job and had high water temps all night which caused the nos to vaporise before being injected. Ran out of nos too after the dyno tuning and 4 runs all gone and left my second full bottle at home bugger. Managed a terminal speed of 117 mph on full nos but lots of wheelspin to 1/2 track. Looking at new high flow race thermo fan, relocate nos lines to cooler position to avoid high underbonnet temps and fiddle with the tyre pressures a little. These MT drag radials are tops my last run under normal power I did a reasonable burn out and launched hard at 5000rpm the car dug in and shot out of the hole like a rocket to post a 1.84 60 foot time and 12.725 at 111.10 mph my new PB. So sort out the nos issues and i will be back to claim that 11 second pass (thats for you Franz) If you are planning on heading down Caz in the next few weeks let me know and I will try to get there as long as my issues are sorted. The tyres are oh so sweet. They smell good smoking up too.
Well Done Boys Three zeds there and all running in the 12's. Excellent times Matty and JT and jason all improving their ET's. wednesday and Fridays now eh, something thats been needed for a long time, you were flat out getting 4 runs before. Can't wait to get the Zed running again so as to come and play with you guys.

LOL I nearly crashed when my brother told me! I saw him give me the thumbs up when I came back in, and it fealt quick but wasnt quite expecting that! But dam it hooked up well. The last run would've been very similar, as the launch was great but lost the intercooler hose in 3rd and had to putt putt down the strip and out the gate Only did more to encourage the urban legend that Zeds are unreiable shit boxes LOL. Oh well we privileged know! MattB
LOL Mods a few! Pod, full exhaust, chip, RX7 coolers, 16psi, UD pulley, SAFC- not tuned yet, Race seats and cage, and too much maintenace. (I think the cage actually helps).
I think there's more left there JT! Sort the launch and tyre pressures and you will be laughing! MattB
