What a tremendous weekend! Lynn and I had a great time(as usual)meeting a lot of new faces(and many old ones as well).:zlove: There wasn't one person we would not want as a friend, nor any one who we would not wish to see many more times in the future(sadly, a few of the older members did not make it there this time around, and they were missed). Came back home(reluctantly), but we are determined to be there again next time. Our Chilimobile ran like a Swiss Watch, however, it seems that our L/H Cam Cover emulated a slice of Swiss Cheese(and decided to leak). Not a biggy, but the 100,000K Service is now on the express list of "things to do". Must do a well earned "plug" for the best Coffee Shop/Eatery on the Bell's Line of Road(Mine Hosts, Paul & Janni, are the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and Janni is just about the best Cook you could find outside of a Michelin Star establishment(it's a big plus that they also drive a Yellow Z32).:zlove::rofl::rofl: Thanks to one and all for a memorable 2012 Zedfest experience, Lynn & Lloyd :zlove::zlove:
Hahaha...somehow I don't think Craig would approve that ..actually he does ICT - Information Communication Technology, so maybe you have met him before lol Was nice to meet you too Mark and I assume your wife, was it Jaida (?spelling)..can't believe how long some people have been apart of the forum You've been a member for 12+ years, is that how long you have owned your zed? Then there's Joe that has had his car for 17 years I was actually quite surprised that my membership with aus300zx was longer then Karl (90TTZ) ... Hope to continue owning a 300zx for the rest of my life, this little community of zed fans is just fantastic and I treasure it dearly...having so many people that are friendly and welcoming is just AMAZING!
Even though I'm a developer, I work in a Government (Education) ICT Infrastructure team so I end up at a lot of non developer conferences/meetings, so it's possible. Wife....hell no ! Long term girlfriend and it's Jada but everyone gets it wrong so she never corrects anyone. Yep, 2 Z's over the 12+ years. If you ever go on Z runs with the Victorian owners, Tektrader?s red 2 seater with the "bright" interior is my previous one. That's if he didn't change the interior as it's not to everyone?s taste (I wanted to do something a bit different). I wrote that one off on my way to work one morning and sold the wreck to him once I got it back. I have to say that I was so happy to see how friendly everyone was on the weekend. The last event I attended was ZedFest 1 in Gilgandra and while it had the same friendly vibe as this one, I had started to notice that the online community was changing. It seemed like we had a lot more tools in the community and the friendly/helpful nature seemed to be disappearing. As a result I started participating less and less and then when my current Z was badly damaged (with a 2 year repair), started building a house etc. I pretty much stopped visiting the forum. When I was told about Zed Fest #5 I started looking at the forum a bit more and noticed that the community had gone back to being a friendly helpful place again. I?ve pretty much decided that I?ll also be keeping my Z for life unless something happens to it. Never get the money back that it owes, so might as well keep it maintained, keep it and enjoy it. The only problem with Zed Fest is that I had decided I wasn?t going to spend any more large amounts of money on my Z, but now that I?ve seen some of the absolute stunning work, I?ve got the bug again. Spent the morning researching PLX gauges (damn you Karl!)
Top weekend Mary and I had a great weekend ( and it did not rain once . Well organised Karl and Graham. great fun,was great meeting heaps of new people, looking forward to meeting Renee and Craig again next year at the Nationals. Here are a few pics from the show, enjoy.
Thank you very much to the organisers of the event, Karl and Graham for the extraordinary effort put into the weekend. It was great catching up with everyone and glad to hera we had everyone arrive safely and arrive home safely! What a great bunch of people and I look forward to going to my 3rd one in 2 years! HOPEFULLY i will have my 300ZX going by then  Here are some photos I took of the weekend, also feel free to add me on facebook, Adam Wilshire - WILO300ZX Facebook link to all my photos - enjoy
Had another great weekend at yet another zedfest. Probably the cleanest collection of zeds to attend to date. Much credit to everyone who made the effort to get their zeds there Always good to catch up with some old faces and great to see some new ones attend! Can't wait for the next one
Should add that we sold a metric shittonne of forum gear! Haven't done the sums but somewhere around $300 worth! That NEARLY pays for all of Karl's bloody trophys! Only left with 3 lanyards, 3 zed stuff cds and some forum stickers! We are going to need some more stock up this way soon!
zedfest Thank you very much to the organisers of the event, Karl and Graham for a big effort put into the weekend. It was great catching up / meeting everyone. Saturday was full on not a moment to lose.Blew some cobb webbs out of the turbos. Sunday show and shine with fresh Limes by Doug with a couple coronas with chilli and Lyn top way to spend a Sunday. Also my first zedfest never met a lot of the people here before this weekend and met many of the faces behind the names. Such a great time!!! Will post up pics tonight
Awesome photos, love the group one in particular. It amazes me that they can all look so different. Hopefully I'll be in a position to join next time although would definitely never lift my bonnet in such company, needs a lot of love.
Hey Everyone, First and foremost, a BIG THANK YOU to Karl and Graeme for organising such a fantastic event and doing a superb job at it! It was great to meet everyone and another BIG THANKS to you all for being so instantly welcoming and friendly to your southerly co-members. Renee, my Brother and myself all had a ball and can't wait for the next Zedfest  I've finally got my photos up, sorry for being so late with them...just had a busy week back at work and had to find another copy of photoshop to install and jazz the photos up a bit by adding a border and logo. I picked out 181 photos and so as such have posted them all in a blog rather than post them in here where it would chug along trying to load them with all the other photos posted already. I hope you enjoy them, I had a lot of fun taking them anyway http://gagzila.blogspot.com.au/ Cheers, Craig
Yet another great weekend of Z mania! Was very privileged to have my family join me this time which made the weekend just that little more special. Thanks to all that came, without you it is just an empty non event. Thanks to Graham who assisted immensely with the organisation of the tours and things to do. Big thanks to Helen and the Staff at the Macquarie Inn, Dubbo for their hospitality and great facilities. As I said at the presentation dinner, this was going to be the last Zedfest I organise and coordinate, time for someone else to add their flare to this great event and by the interest being shown from all over the country the next one will be better again. I was so busy this time I did not get a chance to take as many pics as I would have liked but looks like everyone else made up for it anyway. Also, big thanks to A2Zed and Unique Auto Sports for sponsoring some of the trophies as well :zlove:
Thanks Chili for the escort to the freeway when we hit the oustskirts of Sydney, we managed to find our way into town from there. A big thank you to Janni and Paul for putting on lunch for the trip home. Can't believe no one has put up a pic of the coffee machine - its HUUUUGE. Not too sure about some of the boys chasing chickens around the back yard (for a suitable price you shall remain nameless). Great to see plenty of new faces at this years Zedfest and congratulations to all the trophy winners. A terrific effort by Karl and Graham organising the event with the bar set very high. Accommodation and function venues were outstanding. Sandy and I only got back home on Thursday night after spending three days with Carolyn (Cuddlybear) and filling in the antics of the weekend. Have just finished looking through Craig's photos and think we need to appoint him official photographer for all future Zed events. Looking at the quality of cars on display over the weekend has certainly helped kick start me into getting my zed off the hoist and finished. The weekend went way too quick and I'm sorry that it was over before getting a chance to talk to everyone. Now to start planning for the next one.
Great shots mate , brilliant . If you have any pictures of me or Jess or my z could you perhaps email them through ?
how good was some of the food over the weekend .. i admit, i made a slight piggy of myself on sat night when dinner and desert rolled around. ProckyZ and LIL BAZ go at it over the amazing desert haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHRlBzBPl9E&feature=relmfu
