    these are all from ttnet, I always keep my eye out for PE1420 related things but havent bothered saving any of the graphs. I think Im the only one with custom manifolds, the rest are either plain stock or hand ported and these tend to be about 500 rpm laggier.

    Yeah Johns curve is more to the left which means less lag as you get earlier power. Wont know how the rest compares until he posts a dyno. As I said before, I think guys will get dissapointed if they are expecting 200 rwkw at 3000rpm by bolting these up. I mean think of it in terms of size of the turbo. The stock ones only make that at around 5,000rpm or later. There is nothing magic about these turbos so if it was all turbo getting this power then it would have to be a much smaller turbo to spool that quickly. If so then a much smaller turbo couldnt put out 380rwkw.

    Hence I think on Johns setup, as IB has said, the higher compression is responsible and the bottom end is mostly engine, or else the turbos just couldnt make the top end. Im really really curious to see a before and after of a setup going to higher compression pistons. I might even do it myself on my next major bit of work. Unless youve got huge turbos 8.5:1 compression is just too low these days IMO.

    Turbo's

    The turbos are stock ball bearing S15 Jap version. I was going to have extrusion honed but ran out of time. They spook up quicker than stock turbo's and make more power everywhere compared to stock turbo's as they are ball bearing. Spin a stock bush bearing 300ZX turbo and you will see it is quite stiff and won't spin easy or keep spinning very long. Ball bearing spin quick, easy and much longer. Trust turbo's are Mitsubishi and NON ball bearing, HKS, Turbo Netics and Garret and prob others are generally ball bearing.
    With cam adjustment it lost a little down low and now makes 200rwkw at 3400 rpm calibrated with Autronic computer to dyno.
    Dyno graph will be posted next few days. Been real busy and so are my mechs who have to find the run on dyno computer, put our logo etc on the dyno computer for the run, save to a disc then I email it with an explain to my web man who uploads to UAS site before I can posts it on the site. It is the only forum where this has to be done.
