Andymac Appeal I know that everyone is shocked by this event, and I know that most of us feel helpless, but I would be more than willing to donate some cash toward a fund to get Andy back up and running. I suggest that if enough members here made a small contribution(or as much as they feel comfortably able to) we could see Andy back were he belongs, in a Z32. Mark, if your willing to host this, I would like to start with a cash donation. I don't think it is necessary to nominate publicly what you may be able to give, just give what you can afford. How do other people feel about this? As little as $10 each, from say 700 members gives you $7000 (enough to by a cheapie and get the ball rolling). It costs $10 for a drink in most Clubs these days. Surely we could go without one drink on one day, and help a fellow member. That sounds like a very good idea... I am sure everyone will work something out in regards to it all Its a shame what has happened to Andy's car... I am sure everyone is willing to pitch in and help out the bloke... It sucks when something is stolen from you and you find it like that low lifes nothing better to do sigh
Andy, I don't know you, have not met you, but feel for you as several years ago a bunch of idiots took my car (not a ZX) ans did the same thing. The bright spot was these guys bragged about it in a pub one night and an off duty police officer was there, he listened, when they went to go he took their numbers of their car and found out where they lived, and one of the clowns was stupid enough to have had my wheels in his garage with the doors wide open when the police went to check out their bragging! They had a record of torching cars and raping them beforehand and they found parts of other people cars in their garages and traced them back to a pattern of arson attacks on the cars. They went to jail. I know it does not help you out, but it made me feel a lot better. Neill
Quiktrak I went to their website, if you already have an alarm then you can just go with the Car Trax product. I will be looking at getting that instead, if you dont have an alarm than go for the Car watch product

Insurance Chili Your idea is a great one and I wouldn't hesitate to contribute, but in all due respect, Andy let his insurance lapse and did not renew it, call it bad timing or just bad luck as I am sure he would of renewed his insurance if he was not selling the car. But in light of todays shitty society and risks Andy's Z should of been insured regardless, and to anyone not having insurance on their cars see this as a unfortunate lesson. I feel sorry for you Andy Thats a real sad site to see. I couldnt imagine what your feeling. If the Appeal is going ahead i will donate $20.00 from next 20 nose panels I sell its not much but it all helps out.
This is occuring more and more so Please guys and gals Get a decent alarm system + hit Zed4life for more ZID kits + Insurance! I have gone even further with a gps Tracking system with Quiktrack which i recommend someone to get intouch with, and organise a group buy.
Thats shocking what happened to your car Andy, cant imagine how you feel. When my car was stolen for wheels, I checked all second hand wheels for sale that fit the car within a 5k radius of where the car was dumped. Assuming the thief may be upgrading himself and i found who stole them. Just an idea, but if you do find them go to the cops first. Good luck
I had already sent Rob an Email regarding a QLD fundraiser event. If such an idea gets rolling, I will charge $10 per head at my tech day (probably in April) for the banquet lunch, for those that came last year $10 is well worth it. Last year we had nearly 30 cars. All of the proceeds can go to the slush fund, and I will also kick in $100 personally. Andy is a well respected, valued and a constantly contributing member. If there is going to be a fundraising effort, it might pay to hold off on parts donations, as un-needed parts may be donated.
AndyMac Appeal.... I guess Andy will blushingly say "No", but I think that's a great idea, Chilli!! Perhaps if everyone who has made a comment... or not, because they didn't know what to say or have seen it said by others... put the proverbial cash where their mouth is, we can all go happy in the knowledge that ARE some decent people left in our world! I, for one, will be happy to donate quite a bit more than Chilli's suggested 10-bucks, not to be a hero but, as he said, $10 doesn't buy much these days and I've watched Andy give of his time and expertise at Tech Days where, if I had been the recipient, his help would have been worth MUCH more than $10. Perhaps a great turn-up at our next Tech Day with a donation set-up (anonymous or receipted, as preferred) from all attending which Chilli (or Forum admins.) could administer could act as a starting point for Andy's NEW Zed! (AND...I feel extra guilty 'cause I have just allowed MY insurance to lapse... 'til tomorrow!!
the pics make me sick... Andy.... Ive had a car done before... it was sickening.. but im more upset now. I think the pics will give me terror meres. i cant even imagine wat it would feel to see that in the flesh. Keep your Chin up.. Believe in Karma. I agree with Chili... I spent 8 buks on a single carona on the weekend out clubbin... Ill make a small donation. I wont sleep properly if i dont make some sort of difference. We are the only "300zx Community" after all.
