    Hey all..

well the owner of my old Z was really dodgy and he had disconnected the Coolant pipes to the heater core ? i think?

well i have no idea why? why would someone do that?

would it be possibly because it was like heating up or something?

    cheers guys :)

He probably bypassed it coz the heater core was leaking and needs to be replaced.

    VERY common mod.
If your heater core corrodes and starts leaking you get coolant in your footwells.
In between the time it breaks and the time you get it fixed, would you want coolant to be pouring into your cabin?
Quick way to overheat your engine, that's for sure.
I bypassed my heater core early last month for the same reason.

But back on topic, it's a huge job ripping out the dash to replace the heater core :)
    Cheers,

those water pipes that go to the core

I am about to put my engine back in and want to put new ones in. Where can I get em from. I can't find em at any of my normal web sites.

    Cheers in advance

the solid ones or the rubber ones ?

for the solid ones you could try nissans but I would try conceptzpreformace for the rubber or stock metal ones

    the rubber ones

that go from the rear of the motor to the firewall. I would just buy heater hose and heat it into shape, or use elbows. But being such a PITA to access I want to use the right ones so I don't have to change em again in the near future

Looks like I will have to get em from concept. I bought heaps of stuff off caz late last year and they didn't have them then. I just checked the site and they still dont :(
