    Hi guys,

I just reassembled my cluster after re-soldering and cleaning everything to try and fix my power steering, although upon start-up after this I know have a zed running like its choking on a cat.

I pulled codes 12 & 13, MAF circuit and coolant temp circuit.
13 - Coolant sensor is new and I just re-pinned plug and verified it has connectivity, has a resistance of 1.276 kohm at 30 or so degrees(celcius) which is within spec. This is measure from back of connector to verify the plug is making good contact.

12 - MAF connector, and MAF itself appear fine, I have swapped out MAF two times with different units, cleaned connectors. If i clear codes the 12 will go away until start-up. The code will then appear after running.

Zeds idle will hit 400, jump to 1000 and fall continously. under partially (but constant) open throttle it jumps up and down still, while puffing a fair amount of black smoke.

Cheers guys, any help is valued!

Checked continuity back to the ECU plug from the AFM plug?

Thanks for reply Chrispy, went to re-do FSM afm checks, all was the same and appeared in order, went to turn on car to check "idle" voltage again and started up and runs perfectly..
Im not sure why, but it now works. Im thinking ecu harness might not have been secured 100%.
Another problem with no answer. :zlove:

I was going to ask if the ECU plug was tight and with clean pins.
