2nd or 3rd'd. Greg is great to deal with. Have bought non zed rotors from him and he's a top bloke to deal with. As for those eBay jobbies. They look no worse than the cheaper rda's and similar items. Price is a killer. Very very cheap. For what it's worth I would try them. Afterall their warranty must speak for something.

Ah, thank you good sir !
A good read indeed. I am currently poor at the moment. I wish to purchase some rotors from the current group buy, but these may have to do.

I have these exact same rotors. Front and Rear.

Was a nightmare to get them shipped to me. At one point Customs sent them back to the US and I spent about 2 weeks trying to get in contact with them to get them to tell me what the hell was going on. All up I believe took almost 2 months to get them to me.

Rotors were about $100 from memory, but shipping is what killed it, was around $180USD (heavy stuff) from memory, so all up $280USD which now would be closer to $250AUD.

When I got them, all was well, for about 2 weeks. They looked gorgeous coming out of the box. They have absolutely no rust prevention coating of any kind and rusted over within 2-3 weeks turning a delightful orangey / brown on any part were the pad does not contact.

Was easy enough to install and bed them in (did it with the old pads first, then the new ones). And even after being subjected to some serious heat, have shown zero signs of fatigue / failing.

Overall, good cheap product and would recommend if your old Rotors are broken / warped or can't be machined any further and you need a cheap fix, but fails horribly if you're going for any aesthetic look especially if you have rims that expose a lot of your Rotors like me.

Happy to take some snaps tomorrow if you'd like.

Awesome thanks for the info !
    Sure pics would be appreciated.

As for the rust, i suppose its at least worth the price you pay.

$250 all round,. usually they cost this much for each rotor.

That doesn't look abnormal at all. Standard rotors tend to do the same. :/

Just use black caliper paint on them. Not on the disc surface obviously, but it'll stop it rusting and would only cost $20 or so.

Yea I don't know why I didn't think of that...

Oh well, I'm chalking it up to the insanity of falling in love with these girls we affectionately call 'Zeds' lol.

As for daily braking difference? Not a single thing, if I didn't tell you I had them you would never know. Where I do feel they have some difference is the days I give her a bit of a squirt and brake equally as hard, takes slightly longer for the brake fade to start and dissipates a tad quicker. I wasn't expecting miracles for the price so don't care if its all in my head, for the money, they're a good deal to me. Just wish they give me that rust disclaimer and how to prevent it lol.

tassuperkart Its a lie I tell you!

Yup, I have a full set of these things as well.
I paid US 22$ each for them and shipping cost me Us 160 so all up 260 delivered. Unbeateable value for new rotors and they look kind of cool as well.
Futhemore, in addition to the 12 month warrany against warping, they carry a LIFETIME warranty against cracking.

I simply rubbed them back and painted them with gloss black high temp engine enamel which looks nice behind the Volk FZeros.

I use plain old Bendix "Everydays" which do an admirable job and dont render the disks sacrificial but I do have trouble with the fronts squealing...oh well.

Its rather unwise to use old pads on new rotors due to the unever wear on the old pads which is always there, UNLESS you had them machined flat again.

The rotors for the Subaru I got from the bloke in the business for sale section. Sorry can't recall his name ATM. I didn't paint them and they rusted just the same ad the above pics. When we replaced the zeds front rotors I was wiser and painted the centers black. Looks the goods now on the car. Only a thin section around the braking surface where the brakes don't mate to and I didn't paint have rusted.... Still looks good.

I'm using GCT's and they pull up fine for daily driving.

For circa $260 for a front and rear set. That's a bloody awesome price. Something that with a little rust prevention would be perfect for daily use.

    Hi guys,

I haven't had a chance to update the Business section, but both RDA and DBA have recently had price reductions. I'll just do slotted for now:
DBA 4000 Series Front Slotted $181.50 per rotor
DBA 4000 Series Rear Slotted $148.50 per rotor
RDA Front Slotted $175 for the pair
RDA Rear Slotted $165 for the pair

I know it's no $100 ebay jobby, but the 4000 Series are at least are cast, machined and manufactured in Australia. Any questions just let me know!

    Cheers,
    Greg
