So is this going to be a bit more structured? A whole lot of posts is a bit of a PITA. I think this is a good idea, would be nice to have a big database.

According to Nissan FAST: CZ32-500007 & CZ32-500015 were identical when they came off the production line. It would be interesting to compare the engine numbers in these vehicles.
Not sure of the actual date but its a 1990 model I believe TYPE E-GCZ32 CHASSIS GCZ32-512974 MODEL KRGZ32JASHE7 COLOUR,TRIM AH3 G ENGINE VG30DETT TRANS RE4R03A RD37 PLANT X and at the bottom right the numbers 89909 I was wondering if the date is in that?
the numbers are not stamped but printed so I was not sure if they are indeed a date mark. if they are then my car is older than I thought is there any way to verify the date. or hopefully someone with FAST access can help me.
Sounds right That looks right. It was originally black when I bought it but is now Monterey Blue Pearl Mica. The engine number is VG30639127. The extra wiring it has is mostly in the passenger footwell and some goes to the ECU which has a 2 position switch which changes the ECU settings.

Those painted numbers are probably the part number for the plate. You will notice information decals have similar numbers on the lower edge also. The production date isn't on the VIN plate.
Re: Extra Wiring near the ECU. Doesn't sound like factory wiring, but then again it could be. Best solution would be to post a picture (preferrably in another post), someone may have the same thing in their car, or recognise what it is.
