    Hi guys,

I was just looking at goodies to go with the 2530 hks twins and was wondering if this would be deemed necessary, or just to gain more power?

    https://specialtyz.com/shop/300zx/engine/z1-throttle-bodies.html

Certainly seems like a good idea, but as long a stockies arent going to cause trouble initially, Im ok with them for the moment.

Also, will the standard fuel pump deal with 450-550 hp or a must upgrade sorta deal?

    Thanks again guys

I think these are best used with the 2.5" piping - I was gonna do em both but was adviced by my engine builder it won't be worth it & won't clear the stock rad & most of it would have to be re-engineered - not worth the money & effort in that case IMHO

Maybe go larger cams (JWT 400+), leader gears or whatever else you may need - mani's, dumps, twin intakes, injectors, NISTUNE etc

Stock fuel pump is supposedly good for 700hp - I'm sure others can verify this

Thanks.. good news,.. How about the clutch/gearbox/diff.. yes to see what power comes of it, but could be 400-500 rwhp i guess at this point, maybe more..

Well as John from UAS said - a stock car with only cams & valve springs made 360+RWKW! - So that's just shy of 500hp at the wheels right there
I wouldn't be worrying if these turbo's will make 500hp at the wheels but how much more :D & when - according to your budget of course.

Trust me man, they're a great turbo - just make sure you got manifolds (very important), 3" split dumps, EBC, Twin intakes, 750cc's, 2.5-3" exhaust to get the most out of em - and most importantly a strong engine -
    I'm getting a forged & balanced rebuild so I will be boosting 20psi+ -

I think the gearbox & diff are also rated around 7-800hp - the TT diff is VERY strong - cars running 10's & 9's in the states use the stock TT diff

Awesome, Im grabbing a block from Import Parts rated to 800hp so hopefully safe there.. :)

EBC? I ihave the 750s on the way.. bigger side mount IC and Nistune as recommended by Brytech.

manifolds.. can you show me which are recommended or just porting standard?

Hey can you let me know which BOV to get for a sorta VL turbo sounding noise?

I dont want the Chhhht sorta noise. Any idea on a part number.

    Are you serious?

You want to dose? don't know if a stock TT clutch will hold 500hp? nor anything about the stock fuel pump? Not to mention an EBC (elec. Boost controller) and u want to buy an 800hp crate engine from an import yard, do you know how long it's been there?

Good luck dude, if you can't answer the basics yet want a VL-t dose and that's the most important thing to you, do us and yourself a favor and buy an NA or buy a VL.

umm how would someone know without asking? Im after advice is all, not sure where that come from.. bad day?

A built engine is bad? So I should build it myself? Is that the right way? Was just asking about the BOV while i remembered was all..

If he is talking about Import Parts Pro I doubt he will have any issues.

They're good but they require 2.5" piping kit and intercoolers with 2.5" inlet/outlets otherwise there is not much point.

They're not necessary by any means.

Fuel pump will be fine if it is in good nick

The VL turbo sound you are referring to is actually compressor surge. People buy BOVs in order to stop compressor surge because it damages the turbo.

Yeah thats exactly who :) Thanks for backing me up.. I had heard only good things about them so they were one of the first places i have been arranging a package with, and i was suprised to see the comment on it, anyways everyone has their opinions.

Any idea on what the clutch can deal with recommend upgrade for 550 rwhp or no?

Ok so the VL noise no good.. ok.. can you recommend something subtle.. not trying to go the big noises, just sleep as much as possible.

yeah I have found heaps.. but they dont really state noises very well.. was hoping to go by someones experiences.

If not, I just go to some meets and see what sounds good.

I don't have any personal experience with them but Southbend comes pretty highly recommended. Here.

Use a 6 puck if you will be drag launching at all. Get a full face one like here if not because a full face is a lot easier to drive in stop and start traffic.

The Z already has a recirculating system as stock (which are preferable to blow off valves) but you might be pumping into their limits with your planned power so a blow off valve in recirc mode would be the best choice. HKS SSQV or one of the many other recirc type BOVs are fine.

VL dose is compressor surge, you don't want it.
Get some GFB or HKS blow off valves, you tube is the key!

Stock clutch won't handle the power, look at a button cluthes, 4 or 5 puk pending how you drive.

Gearbox and diff will be fine with the power.

Oh and the throttle bodies are good but not needed in your case. They would be IMO for a last ditch attempt at every bit of power you can grasp.

    Cool thanks!

The Puck clutches make it tough to drive? Had a 4 puck and wasn't ever happy with any riding of the clutch. Good call on the youtube.. didn't think of that at all which is weird cos I have been on there checking out some 300s in action :)

    Thanks for the help!

Dont get the 2530 kit coz of the price. Go for the gt28rs kit and you'll get the same power but a much cheaper price.

If you want to hear the gfb bov, check out my dyno vid.
