I have X-force offset style (see pic below) 2.5" in / 4.5" out. Borderline on legal if tested for sound level, but you can fit a silencer pipe in the outlet to quieten them down (came supplied with the cannons).

    Re the Varex Mufflers

...Hi.:) The Varex dual tips for example are:-

    2.5'' inlet = $400.00 each (RRP $800.00)
    3.0'' inlet = $493.00 each (RRP $995.00)

    Plus shipping.

If you wanted two mufflers, which I gues you would, I could shave more of the price.;)

AND, why not start a GB on these yourself? Thanks, Paul.

    Paul,

I'm in a similar boat to Chrispy. I will be looking to move to a dual tip setup such as the Varex twins to better complement the Stillen rear bar when it goes on. I'm not locked in on the Varex yet, but they are certainly in the mix. Choice & purchase not likely to be until next year.

However, seeing as the topic has come up, I have been checking out the XForce website, and all the info on the Varex system appears to be on the differing noise levels with the valve open and shut. No mention at all of power loss. It would seem logical to me that re-routing the gases down a long and winding road when the valve is shut would reduce the rwkw figure compared to having them blow straight through. Can you offer any comment, or do you know if XForce have any data on this aspect on VE/WRX/other installations?

I do not want a noisy muffler for street use - in that respect I'm very happy with the UAS Genie system on RZ2, as I was with the Kakimotos on RZ1. However, I will be looking for the best power possible for track use, without dropping the system. Varex may offer the best of both worlds ....

    Cheers, Mikey.

i used to have Kakimotos but switched to 2x 3inch cannon varex was very happy with sound and when closed off takes the throbbing sound away. also friend got done for noise pollution in a r33, put these baby's on and passed pits no problems. fitting was no problem to a 300zx. but when u go to work at 6am nabours don't always like a loud car screaming down the street :D. As for power lose if much at all dyno chart would be great :).
