Ok the woes continue with the bodgy wiring...

Its a bit like Harry Spaghettii under my dash, so Ive pulled it down to have a look and clean it up a bit..

I was checking fuses as the Z wont start.. Seems to be a flat battery as the alarm is going bonkers and there is no dash electrics...

So the battery is on charge... anyhow..

Once again the twits that owned the car before me have no idea of wiring..

They wired the new Greedy turbo timer into the old turbo timer and hid it under the dash..

Some people should be flogged with a big stick...

Seriously, I just cant understand why anyone would do it...

They did similar C@#P with the PTU, Soldering the wires directly onto the terminals...

    Just Stupid..

    Well its not the battery...

Full charge and getting nothing except a chirping from the alarm when the door is closed... Stops when its open..

    Auto electrician time me thinks...

Anybody got an idea of what they charge?

I left my fog lights on one night which very effectively killed the battery. Also the alarm system whent berserk when a new battery was installed. After much mucking about it turned out to be the alarm module, it thought someone was interfering with the car and disabled the remote controls. No remotes - no go nowhwhere. Called the installer and he fixed it over the phone in about 10 seconds. I won't say how. This MIGHT be your problem. Get an auto electrician to check it out and see what's what. Good luck.

i hate sh*tty wiring, when i first bought my zed behind the stereo was full of it. just wire twisted together, some not even with tape!!
so i went through and redid quite a bit of it, took forever but makes it easier now.
might actualy go through and redo some of it now come to think of it. makes life so much easier when its all neat and labelled!!

    I am so thankfull.

Not to make light of your problems, but I'm so thankfull for my choice of Z's. Although it didn't come with any real mods (only BBS wheels, GReddy Turbo Timer and her son's HKS Super Dragger catback - yuck), it was for the most part...bone stock save for the J-Spec HU's inside. When I went behind the centre consol to sort out why those J-Spec HU's wouldn't work right, I found just about the neatest, cleanest install I've ever seen. Extremely professional work which gave me a better feeling overall of the choice I made in Z's.

    Thanks guys,,

Its not the alarm, I think., It seems to be the original turbo timer that is installed..

Yes thats right it has 2 turbo timers installed...

Anyone got a diagram of how timers are installed so I can disconnect it...

    Thanks..

Mine came with neons...the control unit, and all its excess wiring that was connected by twists was all taped up into a nice football in the front of the car.
