    ....very good...

are far more common, so the purple top 555's are in greater demand from those looking for 400-500rwhp and rightly so, they are a quality injector.

The 555's will be on about 90-95%, should be ok with the correct tune and fuel pressure.
Wizard runs 555 nismos and makes 340rwkw.

Actually the reason the 740's are cheaper is because they sell more because they can only be fitted to a 95+ zed also SR20's and a lot of other vehicles. The 555's for 95+ zed is cheaper than the eralier ones also.

The purple top 555's will only suit a very small amount of fuel rails, I believe only 89-94 zed and early WRX.

$965 delivered is a keen price too

    This is true.

"The purple top 555's will only suit a very small amount of fuel rails, I believe only 89-94 zed and early WRX".

But if you have the stock rails (89-94) models, the purple top is the way to go. It is a direct fit and sits in the correct position in the rail, so when it fires, its directly into the chamber and not down the walls off the port. The yellow top 555 injector is only for 95+ zeds, unless people intend to buy Am rails, or mod the lower plenum, expensive, forget the yellow tops. I'll stick to my original statement; the purple top injectors are expensive because they are in demand. There are more 89-94-model zeds on the road than the later 95-99 models, sales started to drop somewhere round 94 from memory. If a product is in demand the price goes up.
