Well the ongoing saga of my Z takes yet another nose dive into problem central. My Auto gearbox appears to have given up the ghost. I am missing 2nd and 4th gear and after multiple diagnostic checks/filter/oil change i am told that the problem is NOT electrical, it appears to be mechanical. And although no metal filings ets were found when the transmission was pulled apart, the expert guy is convinced the box is busted. If anyone has an Auto box for a 1990 NA Z, PLEASE PM me. A special thanks goes out to Caz1 (my jargon filter) who skillfully listened to the mechanic speak and translated it into english for me, you are the best. Thanks Andrew

Very welcome Mayhem, just need to source a 2nd hand trans now, Sorry it wasn't better news, still think that Car Yard you bought it from should come up with some $$ towards it:angry: I'd expect the gearbox to last longer than 4 mths!.

Gearbox probs Howdy Andrew, not good to hear about the gearbox problems matey. Have you tried the big Jap Imports Wreckers in Sydney mate. Try Geoff at SSS Automotive and the boys JapImports wreckers as they will have a mix of stuff maybe even a half cut and we'll lure you to the darkside of TT's, muahahahaha. Can do a ring around for you if you like. Does anyone know if the TT autos and the NA autos are the same. MattB:thumbsup:
