how did you mount it to the door ?

Is it simply screwed through or did you do some other funky way.

The way i'd like to do it is to cut the trim off the door over that section and redo the trim along that whole section.

Is it possible to fit the 6.5" speaker straight into the door by enlarging the hole? Or is it not deep enough to fit the speaker in.

I once though about arranging a group buy

Get a company to cut out the MDF, which can be time consuming due to the curved edge. The trimming part is quite easy.

I've got too much other stuff on at the moment to make some.

Yeah, just screwed through form the back into the pod.

The Bostons I fitted need the spaces/pods to clear the window when it's down.

q answered as far as i know

yeah the unit is in NTCS only i'm not going to be using it to watch tv do i'm not really bothered... and i'm sure that can be overcome wiht some sort of gadget. It might need a frequency modulator to pickup AUS freq. but seriously when you have a double din dvd player, tv tuner, with USB that you can connect to a PC n run everything on.

ARE YOU SERIOUSLY GONNA LISTEN TO RADIO??

as far as fitting in... i'm 100% sure that you need to do some custom work. zx's dont have double din space, they have a single and a center boss speaker or pocket to leave change and etc in. (thats from my knowledge, correct me if i'm wrong)

it should however be pretty easy to break the little part between the single din top and bottom holder section (if that makes sense) and sand it back and smooth the edges.

thanks, doc ...sorry about the din space .. just put it badly ... my zed

had the centre piece, between the two dins spaces, cut out to take a dvd player( and no head unit ) and i was assuming you would do something like that ...

have just checked the space in my centre console unit .. height and depth do not appear to be a problem .. but it looks as if the width at 7.1/16 inches could pose an issue without some serious trimming ..???
