Tom (ZRATED) did some test runs with my z:zlove: tonight at the drags, we found out that i'm still having issues (engine cutting out etc) and some little s#!ts decided to steal my valve caps with all 4 of us standing next to the car!! but all in all was a fun night.

Considering that Tom couldn't run full boost and the engine cut out towards the end of the strip mah poor girl still managed a 13.8 run, so i don't think she did too bad

Anyways here is one of the runs (sorry about the quality but we only had our mobiles)

cool, I reckon it's a lot more fun with more Z's there, I'm hoping I can somehow get off work to go again before they close for winter. how busy was it? ie. how many runs did you or could you have had?

nah simmo manuals arent as good in drag if you have a properly setup auto. circuit and drift yeah but not drag :D :zlove:

It was very busy, there would have been 3 runs, dave wanted to test his wrx but we got there at 6.30pm and it was too late, entries had closed :(

check out my garage thing i think i listed most of them there :p

hahaha Tom did well, it was better for him to drive so that he could hear/feel what the car was doing rather than me and my female language trying to explain it! Once she's all good then i'm definately gettin in on the action!!

as lysergic said manual is better for track control/fun/drift, but with a good auto gearbox for drags is optimum!

Good one Clara, always love to see another Zedder fanging it down the quarter.

So envious of you peope with access to the best drag strip in Australia and current whether conditions are in your favour also.

Nice time considering the issues you had as well. Once you get them sorted with your mods it is possible for a high 12 second pass.

is that because the auto is quicker to 100mph and at a drag you usually only get up to 110mph?????

More that with auto you don't lose boost during gear changes and they can launch better IMO.

yeah i was pretty cut, mainly at the inconvenience of having to drive into the city (which i detest) so i can purchase a set of valve caps cause ONE is missing!!!

sent an email to the drag manager/co-ordinator last night asking him what would have happened if they had damaged my car? and what would have happened if they got 'accidently' run over or injured while tying their shoe laces next to ppls rims!

    can't wait for the reply:D

Why do you need to drive into the city for valve caps? Can't you just get some from the local tyre shop? I use metal ones (and metal valve stems) but even they can be supplied by the local guys.

Yeah it was a fun night last night... Would have like to see a few Z's down their... But as usualy 95% of the cars there were V8's....

A 13.8 wasn't too bad as she's cutting out at WOT and running very rich, I was getting a top speed of around 89mph as it'd just loose power.

I have to narrow down why that is exactly.... She's still is in need of a good tune (which is on the cards for next week), then we'll see if we can crack the 12's with more speed and more boost.

    far out

far out thats good, cutting a high 13 with a 89mph trap speed. what sort of power does it lay down 200rwkw?

As soon as I've changed over the trans and put in these camber arms I'm there. Should be a month or so, as long as I don't find a smoked transmission when I open it up.

well it was putting down 300rwhp @ ~14psi a few weeks ago but we have to iron out this issue to bring her back to that sort of power.
