Hi all, been a while since my last post. Was recently browsing all the usual car sale sites and came across a white Z for sale by a second hand car yard. Just wondering how high are the chances that its a dud and would be a waste of my time to go and have a look, as it is a little bit of a distance from where i live and i'm sorta busy at the moment. It does, however, have most of the features im looking for a in Z: TT, manual, 2 seater and i think (from the small picture) a slicktop plus it also 'looks' stock, the only drawback is that it's white (and not a very bright/clean looking white either) and i would really prefer a black or even a dark blue. Also the price is under 10K which seems a bit cheap. Another thing, would a dealer agree to a pre-purchase inspection at somewhere like Nissport? If not, would any one be able to help me have a look at the car and if possible, run conzult on it if i decide to have a look at it? Thanks for any advice.
Bought mine from a car yard in Heidelberg (The Car Place) 2 years ago and it's given me no trouble (apart from the usual Zed things (like heater core)). Just take it to somewhere like Nissport, Z-Shop or Wallards for an inspection when you test-drive it. Make this inspection a condition of sale.
I ask because there was one for sale at a dealer on the corner of ..... Clayton & Dandenong Rds, and I'd heard some things about them...........aahhhhmmmmmmmmm. I hope it's not the same car doing the rounds. Have it checked out and see how you go, or if you want a fellow zedder to check it for you / with you, post the dealers name and address and we'll go by when we can.
