Hey guys, I just squeezed my head under my zed and found what looks like some sort of exhaust sensor, one on each side of the chassis where the fuel lines go. Anyway they are not connected to anything just wired up against the fuel rails. Woundering are they for the cats, if so what do the cats look like, are they similar to commodore ones? If so I don't think I have them. (this is bad right) My system says is an trust super tunning one and I'll try and describe it as best as I can. It's a twin system. From engine :- Dumps to 3inch pipe then to two set of mufflers about 5inch wide and 12inch long then 3inch pipe to the back mufflers. Is this leagal? :wacko:
hrrrm Im pretty sure no cats is like a $1000 on the spot fine in QLD. Not sure about other states. Cant help other than that sorry.
Sounds like your cat temp sensors aren't connected ....>> The first set of "mufflers" might be cats? Maybe you could take a picture?

same problem i had the same problem, mine got picked up going over rego. mine were cut on purpose because of new exaust or re-programmed ECU i'm not exactly sure but i took the car to an exaust shop and they just put shrink wrap over the cables to make it look like it was connected. Andy

re: pics Wow this is always hard without any perspective but I'll give it a go 1 & 2) I think show a pair of cats, you have the heatshield in place (needed to stop your centre bearing cooling) but i don't see the plugs/sendors we're talking about? 3) Shows the H section (balane pipe) of your exhaust, in front of you (in the frame) are your cats I think, and just behind you (out of frame) should be two smaller mufflers/resonators right? And then pipes to your rear mufflers? So looks like you're legal but I can't see the sensors or the corresponding wires that started this all.
pic Yeah that right but the first muffler ("cat") looks the same as the one behind it. Here is a pic of the sensor Seems strange that if they where cats why would'nt they be connected?
I can't see anything in those pictures that look like cats can you take a piccy of the very front two mufflers/cats that you have? Edit: is that second piccy of the front two muffler/cats cause my cats look nothing like that?
The first and second pic's are looking from the front. So what you see is where the cats sit. That first set and the second set look the same so they would'nt be cats hey? Anyone know what 2 cats are worth?
In that case they definately do not look anything like my cats..... but if there not cats it seems like a really strange set up to have 4 mufflers running up the centre to i'm guessing your two rear mufflers :wacko:
