jason I got my best time the first night after a top fuel meeting had new 265/18 kumho tyres at about 18 - 20 psi did a good burn out let the clutch out at around 6000 rpm no wheel spin got a 1.87 60 foot 13.54 et at 97 mph with stock everything bar wheels / tyres maybe luck maybe good planing last night i done 2 1.9 60 footers and 2 13.6 with a locked up [ not planned ] diff and slightly slipping clutch leaving at around 4500 to 5000 rpm on very worn tyres
Hey Boyz what a top night the track was nice n cool with a slight breeze just what an intercooled twin turbo needs...I meet BigBaz and had a good chat about place TO and NOT-TO take your car for services.(Big Baz knows where i mean) To Jason your Twin carbon rear wing looked awsome...Looked like i messaged you just in time for you to go and pick 1 up. My best time was a 13.65 But with me running 1.6bar im sure its up for a 12secs next time. Im sure the retreads would have been the major problem, No traction in first or second. OHHHH and did i mention i was running my Brother for bragging Rights and could you believe he beat me by 0.1 of a sec. His Hydra-Track helped alot though. What a great day i had at work today working with him...
Its always a great night out there especially when there are so many zeds running. My Zed copped a hammering that day.:zlove: :zlove: It was a huge day! Up early and down to Wakefield for some driving tuition from Franz and to see what he could do with my Zed around the track. Best was a 1min-13sec. I had so much fun but I'm not sure Franz enjoyed my circles in the dirt quite as much as i did... Straight from Wakefield to the drags..2.5 hour drive... It was soooo good to get back out there, haven't run the zed since Dragwarz last December. Second run was a 13.412, 2.11 60ft and 107mph which was a tiny improvement from my previous PB and enough to nudge me up the Drag list a spot(sorry Meth ) Caz.. PS: did anyone look at the DragWarz advertising flyer we were given? Of all the cars they could use to advertise one of my favorite events... Its me! lol
*NOTE* can anyone tell me how i can find out if my car is stock because i ran 1.6bar last night and it ran sweet with no probs all night(besides traction) And ive been given the impression that a standard Zed cant hold that much boost??? My H.K.S Boost controller goes up to 2bar but dont know if i wanna risk it. *Any info Appreciated*
check your turbos mate, have a good squiz, also look at the piping going 2 the suckers! if your boosting 1.6 bar on stock turbos they would well and trully rooted!
So you will have to get a team togethor now caz, i will see how many pit passes i can get on the down low so we can have a full on party in there
Congrats Caz... Your Zed must be running well to get a PB, I bet that makes you all the more eager to get out there again So did anyone take any pics??? :zlove:
Top effort Caz on your PB, can't believe it's been since the Drag Warz when you last had a run. I was on my way out to WSID but my bloody engine is still misbehaving, back fireing under boost. Next time I hope to have a run.
SORRY I MISSED IT GUYS ZED IS IN THE SHED STILL! Its getting a coat of paint on the rear where the rear end last met the wall at EC. That way its all blue again! Yay! Might go Down next week if someones keen. MattB

Thanks Grant what was your worst time a 15 something Yeah I had a top time too you made it back to nowra okay. Nos is on its way at the moment so in a few weeks with MT drag slicks new fuel system and n20 LOOK OUT for the silver bullet
Caz Off the Skyline forum. benm Yesterday, 06:27 PM Post #38 128, 128, 132.5mph from memory. Mik got down to 11.2sec @ 128mph also from memory and afew GTS-t's from here doing 14's. Also Caz in the 300ZX did a mid-low 13sec in amongst all the other 300's out there. No her name definitely isn't Wendy although she still melts in my hands.. --------------------
