would i get in trouble for this? if so how much would i get in?

    The law is " nothing is to be mounted abouve the highest level of the steering wheel" so from the top of your steering wheel draw a horizontal line and any thing mounted under that is legal accept if obstructing an airbag

    oh crap looking at most vehicles the top of the steering wheel is roughly in line with top of the dash hence I guess the local cops here are on to something....
