Also, if anyone want's any parts off the old motor (all injectors ohm'ed to spec, plenum is good etc) After we are done with the swap feel free to grab anything that you need, I'm not going to ask for a refund for the motor as it was my risk, unfortunately I have lost that gamble, but I'm not going to whine about it (much :p ).

Hey guys, been rather busy and havent had time to post up much, ill make a post events thread later, but ill post up a quick update:

First off, thanks to the few who showed up, was a bit disappointed with the turnout but it was short notice.

Due to the small amount of people we worked harder than normal, didnt manage to take many pictures, but we managed to swap out the engine, pull the dash and install the loom, we had a bit of a scare when pulling the engine out as one of the bolts snapped, causing it to drop about 2 feet onto the aircon compressor, so I will be swapping it out plus the lines later, we didnt manage to get everything done, but considering I lost about 4 hours due to the engine not having enough power to get up a steep hill in WOT in first (needed to tow it), the result was pretty good.

The old engine didnt get tested, but the coolant had a lot of oil in it, the actual oil from the sump (which had been flushed and was 100kms old) was pitch black, so it was pretty much screwed.

The remaining tasks will be raising the car, putting the driveshaft and exhaust in, and other little bits and pieces and she will be done.

By the way, installing that loom was a task from hell, and I can't see any mechanic charging ess than 800 for labor alone haha.

More to come later, at work until 4am.
