in 3 years tomorrow. Have to drive it down to get the exhaust on, so will be a big thrill for me Let's hope the fuel system holds up, the turbos work, the suspension stays together and the brakes work.
Wow man, thats a long time... the longest ive been without a drive in my Z is about 10 days, and it drove me nuts!!!! Congrats on getting it all back together, minus the exhaust
If I was going to paint it.. it would still be sitting in the shed with all of the other bits. I'm still in shock that it's actually running
Nothing ever goes to plan Got the Zed on it's feet and out of the garage, everything was running nicely... apart from the fact I had a restricted Rom loaded into the ECU (Rev limit 3200, Speed Limit 60km/hr) so noone would abuse it when I wasn't looking. I swapped the Rom over so I could drive it to the exhaust shop, went to restart it, and it seems I've lost spark. Stuffed around with it for half an hour with no luck, had to get on a plane for Townsville, so it's now sitting in the driveway... dead. I guess it will be shipped to Sydney without an exhaust.
I'm using a romulator.... so yes, it's inserted correctly The only thing I can think of is that the second Rom I loaded had an error in it.... even though the restricted Rom was made from the second one. I think that the engine may have flooded, and that's why it wouldn't start. Will check to see if it starts when I get home today, hopefully it was just a random thing.
That's weird mate if it's the Romulator as the ECU should have gone into limp mode. You would have noticed the fuel pump (or pumps in your case) buzzing their nuts off at full speed on priming. You sure all this time off the road you haven't remembered how to use the Romulator?
hahaha No, I haven't forgotten how to use the Romulator Am about to go out and have a look at it now I'm home, my brother started it yesterday and said it threw clouds of smoke out, and smelt like fuel, so it looks as though it was severely flooded. Now, the next question is...... why?
Ok, I haven't driven it yet... but I did wash it and took some photos. I remembered that I'd painted it Hothouse Green when I removed all of the dirt.....
looks tough mate...i dont mind it either.....i dont like the wing but as long as you like it its all good....well done
ITS looking great go for it. shopping trolly and all. loved the new fuel setup, great work on the turbos.:zlove:
