Over a year ago I bought a set of Bomex mirrors off Brad (DUB), they were already painted black and he sold them to me for a good price... So all good and well...when I installed them back in the day...the mirrors were perfect and I didnt need to adjust the angle at all. But since they are motorised I might as well hook them up to some power. The wires to the stock mirrors has 5 wires as shown in the pic And the Bomex mirrors has 4?? I've tried heaps of combinations of what colour goes to what but no success. Does anyone know what wire goes to what? I remember brad said something when I bought them about reversing the polarity or somthing....but I have no idea what that means anyway haha Cheers
The original 5 wires has a pair for a heated mirror. Some cars had them others didnt. leaver out the mirror and have a look and you will see an extra pair of wires going to the mirror. Check out what colours they are in the loom then cut them off the plug. That will eliminate 2 wires. The rest should be easy.
shoulda thought of that in the first place... I've had the bomex ones installed for AGES now...just wanted to wire them up a year later lol I've got the old mirrors still...might rig them back up to cancle out some wires... Anyone else know straight up what is what?
