I have a 2+0 and it had a secondary pump motor in the drivers guard . It was leaking badly so I just bypassed it and went straight to the hood squirters . The water pressure hasn't changed thou and it still dribbles and isn't real flash .

Has anyone replaced or changed anything to make these things work properly ?

Have you tried cleaning the jets.
They sometimes get clogged with particles.
Use a needle to clean out and they are amiable, as they are like a small ball and socket.
You might need to remove them and use compressed air to blow back the jets if a grain of sand is blocking them.

I have tried a needle , might hit it with some compressed air also .

2+0's also have check valves that canclog up, normally make them squirt when you hit the brakes if they aren't working though :p

Use guitar sting wire to clean jets

I used compressed air , needles and did not fix. I then tried a piece of guitar string wire. The E or B string will do. the wire is hardened and can go around bends. Worked for me. WARNING. Do not bend the wire too much or it will break inside the nozzle then you will have a n almost impossible task of removing the broken wire.

    Good luck.

Whats a secondary pump? That pump in the front IS the front squirter pump. The one on the back just drives the back window washer.

If you are thinking the back pump can push water all the way from the back of the car that's a bit of wishful thinking. Replace the motor and the check valve, clean the nozzles.

I had a problem with my rear washer. What I found was that the tube had clogged up as well as the non return valve. I cleared it by running some whipper snipper line down it. I had to cut the line and install a joiner to get around the worst bend. Also flushed out the valve and nozzle.
